Money laundering is a crime all over the world.. there are laws against it in USA UK etc including Nigeria!
It is punishable by imprisonment !

Not properly defining crimes is why EFCC loses cases. Fraud is aided by money laundering but they are usually two different crimes. Someone who uses his account to receive fraudulent funds, constructs houses with it, then sells the houses and returns the funds to the fraudsters is a money launderers and not a fraudster.

Mompha goes on Instagram live to mock hushpuppi. He said he brought hushpuppi from Malaysia to Dubai & he said hushpuppi was stubborn that's why he was arrested. Mompha also said he can't be arrested because he dined with the FBI last October.

It's all depends on the level of offence.

Fraud of ₦10m can't be more serious than money laundering of ₦20m if the proceeds is connected to fraud.
