We are littered all over the state of the federation. I also came out top of my class. But i don't decieve myself i have no one to run to concerning job. Getting a job on merit isn't feasible anymore in this clime. Particularly, government jobs.

I recently got a transcription job. I'm likely to lose the job due to my inability to get a system.

I'll be rounding off my service soon. Yet no job in sight. Got some cool business ideas, don't have access to loan

System failure

Greed has eaten deep in us. We all know the right things to do. But that dirty traits in us won't. I'll rather hoards millions/billions of money in local/foreign currency, have litters of cars, houses, landed properties, look so Porsche. Just name it. We have friends, families, neighbours who are needy. Blacks are greedy. The whites did exploits us. Your fellow blacks are the ones conniving with those whites running factories/industries right here to pay her fellow blacks meagre income. Our security personnel are their escort. They sometimes follow one way that you and i dare not follow. We go to their country and we're being treated with disdain.

We are our problem.

I graduated with a first class in accounting and finance and finished my nysc 3 years ago. Since then i have attended interviews but to no avail, but immediately i finished nysc i started trading forex while looking for jobs. I also involved myself in my friend's entertainment start up 2 years ago as a web administrator on his website, travelled with him regularly for shoots even without pay. I Learnt digital marketing with a certification from google to improve my SEO skills, i took a lot of courses on how to code and build websites which i do today. I equally write books though i do this passively, am still hopeful i can have a tech start up soon, which is far from what i dreamt of when i was studying accounting and finance in school, but where i project the world is heading to. Though am still open to getting a job and launch my tech start up later in the future, as clients on web development do not come very often. I just love learning, i applied for a few scholarships over the years but still no reply, God will do it for me.

Sorry to say, but Nigerians are too obsessed with this first class of a thing. You go to university in Nigeria, chew, and regurgitate everything you learned back to them. Graduate with a first class on paper but have no practical knowledge of anything. At the end of the day, you're jobless. You shouldn't be jobless with a first class or 2:1. You need to start looking beyond that paper otherwise you'd be stuck forever.

Seek for post graduate scholarship abroad.

Meanwhile, I don't think a first class or almost first class graduate should find it difficult getting a job as they can easily pass aptitude tests and impress interviewers.

The major problem is not the fact that job is difficult to get in Nigeria, my major problem is job buying that is now a norm in our nation. You buy job ranging from 200k-4m depending on the quality of the work. That is wickedness of the highest order! This nation is just too spoilt and this madness must stop if we must have a future:

The Irony of the whole thing is that our First class and second class upper graduates are sitting and waiting for the 3rd class graduates
to start businesses and create jobs and employ them.
