Mandela hostel that year.it was renovated in the year 2017 by Tetfund.its just lack of maintenance culture that brought it to this state.

Please which Universities'/schools' hostel condition is better in this country? A clime where maintenance culture is not respected or followed? A time bomb in many of the institutions. Can we please change this culture of negligence?

Most students don't know how keep a healthy environment.

Just sequel to Mbanefor Hostel UNN!

Who born that girl wey go enter the hostel. If you no cry from the shout of Tanker! Tanker!!, you go cry because the very guy wey carry come go disembark. You will be surprised to see fellowship brethren in this charade.

To me eh! It seems there's one spirit wey dey possess anybody we just enter Mbanefor hostel...you will see guys wey dey Eni Njoku and Alvan (calm and polished) enter Mbanefor, turn to something else.

Another funky thing about Mbanefor is that, the same boys every year for four years...only dem sabi how the use to do it.

The only hostel wey no get night and day; everytime there's noise. Don't even talk of our "common room", you dey mad? Who born you, you know who i be? Chai! But funny enough, most brainy guys for uni that year full that hostel.

Finally, this is just a phase in the life of every Nigeria student in public schools, if you don't experience it, you won't get the fun. Most of us wey dey off campus dey envy their social security, fun and brotherhood...sometimes we sneak in to catch the cruise.

it is the student responsibilty to clean their environment,i cant blame the school management for this, they need orientation charity begins at home.

It is the students in the hostels that are dirty not the fault of the school authority. OP why did you not post the medical and post graduate hostels as well, these are very neat because the students residing in it do maintain it and are neat.

Blame the students, this hostel was renovated in 2017 and everything was fixed for the proper functioning of the hostel facility, but if you reach there today, you will be amazed by the level of damaged the students have done to these facilities...

The Nigerian government should pull out of university accommodation as a failed project.
If it cannot privatise the faculties of learning it should by all means sell its hostels to investors with the nerve of animal husbandmen.... particularly those specialising in the rearing of wild hogs....

Ask the immediate past VC wetin him used funds allocated for building n maintaining hostels do. ....shebi him n his wife don run go England. ....

2. Pay higher taxes at federal and state level

3. All Niger delta states get 100% of their resources. Other states including South west and non oil producing South east states get nothing. As well as the middle belt and North

Poor maintenance brought it this way

An average of 45 million naira was spent renovating each of blocks A, B, C and D of the Nelson Mandela hostels. Rogues enjoyed the money and did a very showdy job. Nigeria will remain this way for a very long time. Everybody be criminal!
