I did the aforementioned already but it didn't come on. I don't use auto update,I do manual and I don't update anyhow self.

There are lots of solutions to this in YouTube. But I guess it's too late since it's already with customer care

I booted into fastboot, the phone started reading then an unlocked padlock showed when I rebooted.
I also checked using the MI unlock tool that I used and it showed unlocked as well.

welcome to the family, during ur first update u will have to manually reboot ur phone, and it may take a little while to come up do not fret, it was only the first update i experienced that others have been normal
