BREAKING:
Taliban is taking over Kabul and changes the name of Afghanistan to “Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan”.
After spending $83Bn spending on bombs and weapons and training the Afghans security forces. They are unable to protect their country against the Taliban with support of United State America now USA has lost Afghanistan.
Those who think that the United States has solution to every nation's problems should learn from this.
Taiwan shouldn't depend on America O!

Taliban Air Force now includes SuperTucano
This might be an isolated unit currently deployed or something. The majority of those aircraft are based at Kabul airport. They'll definitely be removed from there before the US surrenders the airport. They'll never ever be left to Taliban. Even the one they captured, they'll never get to fly it.

What have Democrats to do with it? Is it not Trump who started the withdrawal?

Know this one thing. US Foreign Policy has nothing to do with Democrats or Republican. It hardly changes with government. I only hate Trump due to his character and ill thought actions not because he was Republican.
Why blame Trump yes he started it..
But didn't see it through
Infact Biden could have halt the process of he wanted... Biden determined the method it was to be carried out... You seem obsessed with Trump.
If this was a success who do u think would have claimed the Glory.
Even Biden kept saying he never regretted withdrawing the troops...

You guys don't get it. It's not the US fault and it doesn't make them weak in anyway. If US forces remain in Afghanistan, it will be an everlasting killing field because new baby talibans will be born everyday.

Also, the US is now strategically tilted against Shiite Islam rather than Sunni so a Taliban regime works better for the US against Iran, China.. probably Russia.
Until it backfires... Lol

Whether Trump or Biden, foreign policy is same. The US were basically going to be killing Afghans forever if they remained, because they have local support in areas outside Kabul and Major cities. The ideology simply refused to die.

What nobody saw was the rapid surrender of Afghan troops. Biden was banking on them holding ground for a deal to be sorted out.

Taiwan depend solely on America to keep China away, while the Afghan depend on America to keep the Taliban away.

Secretary of State statement
First, let’s put this context,” said Mr Blinken: "As we’ve discussed before, we were in Afghanistan for one over-riding purpose - to deal with the folks that attacked us on 9/11.
He says that the US achieved its goals of bringing Osama bin Laden to justice and diminishing the capabilities of the Al Qaeda terror group.

The US in Afghanistan were an occupying force, they were not suppose to be there in the first place

According to western media, everyone in Afghanistan is scared of Taliban and is trying to run away, from the terrorist Talibans.

According to the truth, Over time Taliban has bought back massive support due widespread corruption and inefficiency in government. Bad leadership. Propaganda and endless airstrikes has made Majority of Afghan locals to back the Taliban as a way of getting the country back not understanding what they're getting themselves into.

You see why things went the way it did?

NB: Taliban are not terrorists but there are lots of them within the Taliban.

Well, you might be right sha but as for me Talibans are Nationalist. Their only concern is Afghanistan.

The Talibans do not share the same ideology with Isis.
Exactly...
Someone said " it a similar situation to Kosovo Serbia war, or even ur domestic IPOB"
UsS decided to just dub it Islamic terrorism to degrade Taliban cause.

Trump cancelled some many Obama foreign policy, just the same way Biden is cancelling Trump policy.
The withdrawal of America was supposed to be cancelled by Biden, because so many security analyst and even senior Officers kicked against it.

Sources said 190 insurgents surrendered in Mafa local government area of Borno state on Saturday[b]
I am not comfortable with this surrendering, FG should temporarily create a special prison where these guys would be sent until their motives are truly established

You don't cancel policies. You might handle situations differently but policy is still the same.

Now I'm sure some of you started learning about the Taliban this weekend grin

You don't even need to be non Muslim. Just don't align with their Sharia interpretation, and you'll meet your death very quickly.

Taliban call themselves Jihadists. Fighting to make Afghan a 100% Islamic state. Now the major issue is that under Taliban, you meet your death immidiately if you don't agree with their ideology. Secondly, Taliban sponsors Foreign Jihadists to wage war on non-muslims as well.

Climate deal is a political issue. It has nothing to do with foreign policy. Same with WHO pull out.

The Iran agreement cancellation was not a reversal on the existing stand of the US but rather Trump pulled out to exert a more stringent approach on Iran because he felt they were not abiding to it. His approach largely failed, hence Biden is trying to strike a new agreement which hasn't made headway.

After reading the comments what struck me is influence of America propaganda etc among the members here

People are more into discussing biden ver trump , in US who the president is doesn't matter that much other than the difference in execution etc they bring in , its those who are in the shadows who set the ball rolling

Okay, in a broad sense, they all fall under foreign polices but those are constrained by politics and are bound to sway under a heavily leaning president.

But when I say foreign policy. I'm talking about the core polices of the United States DoS which are territorial and citizen protection, protection & advancement of democracy and championing the cause of human rights.

They don't change.

To what end? that war isn't being prosecuted using water. If you can't achieve something after 20yrs, why continue wasting resources.
America can't be there forever, i totally support the pull out, there is nothing to show for the last 20yrs, what's the point
