*SATURDAY ATTACK IN PLATEAU STATE, MATTERS ARISING* 1. Government footing the bill of all affected, including victims of Sunday's attacks 2. Government to send high power delegation to the sheik and Bauchi State Government to condolences 3. Plateau State will send delegate to Ondo state to commensurate with them. 4. Federal Government sent Police Special Forces to Rukuba road. 5. Within 24 hours, presidency sent in condolence message, Muslim groups react, police commissioner gave ethnic and religious update. 6. Sunday attacks and killings of Christians on the Plateau haven't received any attention yet. They called it repraisal, but none of the Sunday attackers have been apprehended despite the curfew. 7. Why is Government and the Media silent over the killings of worshippers on Sunday? *My Query* a. Arrest made in Rukuba road attack, while Irigwe killers, no arrest. b. No special deployment to irigwe land since spate of killings and burning of houses took place there. c. No National concern to irigwe People by the presidency. But over 20 have been arrested in connection to Rukuba road incident. d. Lalong seems not to be more emotional about irigwe killings but having sleepless nights over Rukuba road attack. e. Curfew has been reviewed twice within 24 hours, but Bassa killing received mild attention. f. When will killers of Christians be arrested? When will Federal Government deploy special forces to Bauchi road as it is in Rukuba Road? These are pertinent issues and questions that need global concern. We must leave emotions aside and think critically. |

Powersurge:I already knew that there is a China-Russia mix to this USA withdrawal from Afghanistan and allowing Taliban to gain control puzzle. USA will not want to fight a direct war with either China or Russia, but it can use domestic terrorism to instigate civil unrest in both of the countries. I would not be surprised if USA started arming Taliban to start a proxy war with China through the muslim-majority Urghur region. All the cards are on the table for USA to play on this Afghanistan move, but I believe it is a future war strategy. |

tensazangetsu20:Please let stop misinforming people. The U.S didn't lose the Afghan war. They invaded the country with two aims: topple the Taliban government of Afghanistan and neutralize Osama Bin Laden. The U.S wasn't fighting to eliminate the Taliban. Taliban, their sympathizers and enablers (Pakistan) can't stand the full might of the U.S armed forces. Again, there are whispers on the street that the U.S withdrawal approach is deliberate to allow the Taliban to capture Afgan. All these are international politics to put Iran, the bad boy of the middle east on their toes. Taliban is Iran's fiercest enemy and they are coming for them while Tehran, Jerusalem and Washington are happy, sipping their wine as they await the outcome of their masterstroke. Perhaps, you're not aware the U.S evacuated the Bagram Air Base leaving thousands of imprisoned Taliban hardened fighters behind for the Taliban to rescue and reintegrate them into their army. One of the major cities Taliban captures was led by an imprisoned Taliban commander released to them by the U.S. |

Dybala11:Lovely premise. Firstly, Russia does not have financial muscle to match US in terms of defense funding. At the height of USSR, they could only do this much. Let alone Russia. While Russia is a global power and pulls certain belligerent challenge, she cannot hurt US interest on a long term. While the Chinese have relatively better technologies than Russia (I am not sure of this), America has more money to spend in finance long term war (either conventional or unconventional). The beauty of having a very high per capital GDP and strong economy is that you can finance non-economic affairs for a long time without having direct effect on the population. This is something The Chinese would struggle against on long run. Talking about partnership. While I cannot downplay the partnership among the trio, Taliban knows that Russia is not her friend. Russia is as culpable as America. Because the former was the first to open war on them. Russia and China are forming alliance with Taliban to prevent the Talibans from influencing their countries' belligerent population. Both China and Russia have terrorist or potential terrorist groups. The worse thing is self implosion. which could happen to these countries should Taliban have unfetted access. |

Dybala11:I don't think this is right. From U.S body language you could see they are aligning with Taliban to fight Iran. Everything playing out is "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" scenario. |

Op you have nothing to worry about, worry about your north instead. I swear with your mother, if terrorists from the north tries to invade the south, they'll be met with heavy resistance. Hehe, don't think southerners are weak oo else e go clear for your eye that time. If south can form alliances with the western nations and borrow technological equipments from them, then it should be a clean and easy victory. Like I really can't see myself sleeping at home when I know that there are weapons available and I could go out there and make a difference in our favor. The boarders of Southern Nigeria will all be well protected and defended. I assure you |

Powersurge:I don't dispute the fact that Russia, China and the Talibans have their differences. I only made a submission that it is highly likely that they can come together solely to oppose the U.S and the West in general, which is an objective that they all have in common. The common point between China and Russia is their opposition to the U.S, the two of them can still pull their resources together to pose a significant threat to the U.S. Also, they can come to a sort of understanding or arrangement with the Taliban, such that they can "aid the effort of the Talibans and other terrorist groups against the U.S". This is the assertion that I've been making in my comments, even the U.S is wary that terrorist attacks against mainland U.S and it's interest can now be easily staged from Afghanistan. The ideology is that the enemy of my enemy is my friend. |

Powersurge:You are wise. This is exactly what I have been telling people and you've added a new dimension to it—bringing terrorism into Russia and China and activating domestic terrorist groups within those countries. I have always seen US withdrawal as a strategic move to put Iran on their toes. But I often wonder if sacrificing one of the few democracies in the Middle East just to fight iran is worth it but with this new dimension and revelation, I think its worth it, at least for the Americans who doesn't understand friendship and what it entails but their self interest. |

DashingRush:You mean that the U.S made a secret deal with the Taliban to withdraw from Afghanistan?? Anything is possible sha, international politics is one funny and complex wahala. Iran has surely gotten another enemy now, the battles of the Shittes and the Sunnis. |

Dybala11:U.S made a deal with Taliban and we don't know all the details. The way U.S withdrew from the Bagram Air Base leave nothing tp be admired. They left at night without prepping the Afghan forces. Iran is Taliban biggest enemy and U.S surely activated for the purpose. Only time will tell |

sketcherJ:Really?? Do you know that the U.S.S.R was an ally of Germany before Nazi Germany invaded Stalingrad, the Germans even came within some kilometers from Moscow. Even after the World war 2, the immediate fear of the West is that Russia may gain influence, over Asia and some parts of Europe. Imagine that being their immediate concern after winning the war against Nazi Germany. The tension between the U.S and the most powerful remnant of U.S.S.R (Russia) as not reduce since then. They've remained oppositions and are not allies. On whether either of them will be bold enough to aid terrorist campaigns against each other is a different ball game entirely sha. |

It will be a matter of each governors taking control of the various army installations in their states and we can strategies from there. But on a serious note the president is well secured. I will start taking Boko Haram serious if they execute a sitting governor. |

DashingRush:Yes that could be part. Because the Iranians have closed their diplomatic houses in Kandahar and other cities there and have reduced their staffs in Kabul. The Turks are still in Afghanistan and are not running away. I think its a war of the Sunnis and Shiite. |
