There are millions of Muslims in America who aren't threatened, marginalised or stigmatised for practising their religion rather, it's mostly the Muslim extremists who go to public places to wield knives on the people who accommodate and feed them. Not all Afghanistans are Talibans, and not all Afghanistans are Muslims.

Talibans believe and practice a strict variation of Sunni Islamic laws. Not all muslims are Sunnis, some practice a different variation of the Islamic laws. As in, not all Christians are Catholics, there are Baptist, Pentecostals, etc also.

And not all Sunni Muslims believes or practices the strict variation of the Sunni laws that Taliban espouses. As in, not all Catholics beliefs or practice the Charismatic Renewal Group kind of stuff.
