Ruben is being a disingenuous journalist here. The Igbo man kept knocking down the wall of division, but Ruben kept trying to erect that wall. Trying to maintain the narrative of a divided Igbo house. Make no mistake, he did that on purpose, as he is well aware of his mostly igbophobic audience. All the journalists here exhibited a high level of ignorance on the Igbo subject, no wonder Nigeria is the way it is. That Amaechi has Rotimi in his name, how does that validate his 'non igboness'? Even if he says with his mouth he isn't Igbo, was it mouth that made him Igbo? Does Amaechi or Wike speak for Ikwerre? Are they unaware of avid Ikwerre membership of Ohaneze? Are they ignorant of the divide and conquer nature of Nigerian politics, especially post civil war? This conversation has been over flogged needlessly. I blame Igbos who refer to their brethren across the river as 'delta igbo', 'Benue Igbo', etc. I don't hear anyone referred to as 'kwara yoruba', 'Ondo Ijaw', etc. This ignorance should stop, and only Igbos can spearhead this change. 10 Likes 2 Shares |

Commentor:Gov Dave Umahi is the Chairman SE Governors' Forum. Anyim Pius Anyim was former SGF and Former Senate President. Ogbonnaya Onu is currently Minister of Science and Technology. Ebonyi is currently the best State in SouthEast. Take ur division and hatred elsewhere. 15 Likes 3 Shares |

gaetano:Abati is a chronic Igbo hater. Unrepentantly petty on Igbo issues. It runs in the blood tho. Taunting the igbos have become a tribal pastime in such places.. What is surprising though, is that most of his Igbo friends and colleagues have not started to vigorously call him out on that. From boasting about how Obasanjo will "cut of Igbo heads" as he did during the war if MASSOB disturbed his government to mocking Utomis presidential bid, he's always startled whenever he thinks the igboman is about breaking off.. Just as he was insisting on terming some "mainstream igbos" here, he also insisted on calling Nnamdi Kanu "a fugitive" after he was abducted the other day. That was even as Kanus lawyer relentlessly reminded him that the Army attacked Kanus home and killed almost 30 people forcing to run for his life. Abati is a lost cause. 14 Likes 1 Share |

DaMayor1:I will be very candid Your last paragraph is very true The main reason these division is there is because some south eastern Igbos see themselves as superior Hence the outsider Igbos tend to shift away from the Igbo identity and create a new one for themselves Nobody wants to feel inferior |

gaetano: Everything is already clear like daylight. Chike Ogeah is obviously intelligent and smart. I like his thought process. However, the argument is not just about having an Igbo man as president but on equality and fairness to all geopolitical zones. The other 5 zones have had their fair share except SE. About who identifies as Igbo or not is already very clear. In Delta State, all the Igbo speaking communities around Asaba, including Ogwashiukwu, Oshilimi and the rest are proud Igbos and their traditional rulers and elite also show it. Ngozi Okonjo Iweala, Ned Nwoko, the Asagba of Asaba, the Elumelu family, Pat Utomi etc all wear their Igbo tag with pride but those at the fringes bordering Edo state, particularly Ika people see Bini as their masters. They're also the ones Reno Omokri called descendants of Bini and Itshekiri slaves. In a nutshell, Ika and Ikwerres are not Igbos, their traditional rulers and politicians also show it. If/when Biafra comes, the Ika can join Bini while Ikwerre joins Ijaw. They're the ones that will lose and suffer in the long run. 13 Likes 1 Share |

Commentor:Who abused Umahi? Gov Umahi is currently being dragged for romancing with FG proposed grazing reserve(RUGA)....knowing full well that Fulanis have record of killing, maiming, raping and destroying their host community inorder to dominate and install Emir. They did in some Yoruba communities in Oyo State like Ibarakpa, Igangan, Obomosho where they have Serikin Fulani as their community head. What their progenitor (Alimi) did to Afonja(Yoruba ancestor) is still very fresh and evergreen in our memory. We now have Emir of Ilorin instead of Oba or Kabiyesi. Too bad We don't want that anywhere in Igboland. Ebonyi people have deep rooted Igbo ancestry that's why there's strong presence of IPOB/ESN in the State. 7 Likes 3 Shares |

jerseyboy: Just one paragraph yet look at how incoherent and confused you sound. "Ojukwu made an Asaba man Major Albert Okonkwo...." Is Asaba no longer under Delta State and old Midwest? So, what is wrong in Ojukwu making a qualified son of the soil Head of state? The same you is also saying that there are no Igbos in Niger Delta when both Asaba and Major Okonkwo are all from Niger Delta!! Being senseless, illiterate and dumb at the same time is actually a disease 12 Likes 2 Shares |

Investigative: When the likes of Asari Dokubo or Reno runs their mouths disrespecting Igbos and calling them names, you won’t see these lots. Most of them will dissociate from Igbos and vehemently deny any link with Igbos. Sunday Oliseh did it, lots of them from that side did it. None of them would say anything. ….It’s politics time, everybody will align with and claim their Igbo heritage. They are all Igbos. Ikwerres are not Igbo, Wike is Ikwerre but not Igbo, Amaechi is Ikwerre but Igbo. Why can’t these people be proud of their identities and stop being mischievous? 4 Likes |
