A formal university lecturer, Ukachi Onyema, has been accused of brutalizing his wife, Mrs Amarachi Onyema, over a dress she wanted to wear to their child’s graduation ceremony.

It was gathered that the alleged assault occurred on Saturday, August 21, 2021, at their residence in Umuahia, Abia State.

According to a source, “They have been married for seven years and have three children. He’s fond of beating her at the slightest provocation.

Apparently, he b*at her up last Saturday and stabbed her all over her body because he said he didn't like what she wanted to wear to their daughter's graduation ceremony. He tore the dress into pieces and all of these happened in the presence of their kids.

Three months ago, this lady was pregnant with twins, and he kept beating her until the twins d*ed in her womb at 7 months. She was in and out of hospital and almost d*ed from bleeding.

My friend is still there because she is scared of leaving and her confidence level right now is zero. She needs help. She can't speak out. She can’t hear with one ear right now as a result of the constant beatings.”

Speaking from experience, that woman needs help. It's easy to tell her what to do just reading or hearing her story,but you really have no idea what to be a victim is like,the trauma is indescribable and in a situation like dat she can't be i a clear state of mind to make d big decision to leave a marriage "involving kids" especially,she will worry about her kids welfare nd if her kids won't be taken from her if she leaves.

What she needs is a SUPPORT SYSTEM, those that are willing to help her leave nd help her thru all d drama that comes with leaving(trust me u av no idea),and those that won't judge her for marrying a bad man and not looking before leaping ,people change . The last thing she needs now is a reminder of her wrong choice. That being said, unfortunately, even the closest people,family,friends are not willing to help but would rather judge,that explains why most women continue to suffer and smile.

Thank God for some influencial people who have come up with support groups as this,even the lagos state govt. I hope she gets the help she needs,in the mean time ,please stop judging her because even that love of your life can turn monster in marriage!

All this young women that thought marriage is what they are watching in Nollywood. My brother married this kind of girls she turned him to a monster. If you don't beat them to reset their brain you will die of blood pressure and they will move on with life. They believed the way Genevieve was treating Ameka Ike is real and they will try it in marriage, not knowing that Emeka tolerate it only in a movie when his wife tried it he divorced her and marry another woman.
