The fact that this guy claims to have been in military intelligence shows you how low your expectations of the military intelligence should be.

The media has access to repentant terrorists, they should do a deep exposé on how terrorist groups are being funded.

Sad thing is that if the authorities decide to invite this man tomorrow to come explain himself(assuming he lied), it will be seen as an attempt to silence the man.

We heard this same type of bullshit in 2012, up till this moment, no concrete evidence has been released. Since they've been catching Boko Haram members, none of them has been questioned on tape to claim any politician is funding them, no whistle-blower or investigative journalist have investigated any of such claims and published irrefutable evidence. What's the route of finance or they just go to the bank, collect cash and handover the cash to the terrorists?
Let's even assume these accusations are true, that would mean either the DSS was severely incompetent in the last administration to the extent that they couldn't find members of the opposition to be corrupt or the administration itself was incompetent or scared to use it against political opponents and ensure they continue to stay in power and they are still incompetent for them not to be using it as a tool to discredit these government.
In the time when people's gazette and Sahara reporters are getting confidential information in the presidency and publishing it, they haven't been able to find any documents on these claims.

So from your heart of hearts you believe a senior officer & an Intels Officer will boldly come on air and make such weighty allegations w/o evidence? You seriously believe so? You didn't hear where he said he interrogated some of the people currently in gov't? You're comparing Okah to an Ex-Deputy director of Intels. Qatar arrested some guys funding terrorism till date the govt refused to release the names of these guys, it's in this same country a serving Minister was caught on tape preaching hate and supporting the most deadly terrorist organisation then and all the gov't could do is to tell Nigerians that he no longer hold such views and those statements were made when he was young.
Our mumu no too much? This is why people in power don't rate the citizens because same people surferring the effect of malfeasance, incompetence are those rationalising the actions of their oppresors that will chatter the next available flight out of the country when sh1t hits the fan, just like what happened in Afghanistan. Nothing sha fit surprise me again, is in this same country young men and women were gunned down at Lekki and some people still had the conscience to deny what was beamed live on Instagram in real time and watched by over 140k people. OPERATION HADIN KAI: TROOPS FOIL BOKO HARAM ATTACK IN BABANGIDA ... CAPTURE GUN TRUCK ARMS AMMUNITION

Troops of Sector 2 Joint Task Force North East Operation HADIN KAI have foiled an attempted attack on Babangida town in Yobe State on Wednesday 25 August 2021 by Boko Haram and Islamic State of West Africa Province terrorists, prowling for logistics replenishment. The criminals made futile effort to infiltrate the town, but were met with a fierce counter attack from the vigilant troops, forcing them to retreat in disarray.

In the counter attack, the gallant troops captured one gun truck, one Dushka Anti Aircraft Gun, two AK 47 rifles and unprimed Improvised Explosive Devices (IED) from the fleeing terrorists. Further exploitation by the troops is still ongoing.

The dogged troops have been commended by the Chief of Army Staff, Lt Gen Faruk Yahaya for their vigilance and swiftness in countering the attack. He also encouraged them to remain focused and avoid any form of distraction from the terrorists, who are desperate to make face saving moves, having suffered enormous depletion in their ranks.

Law-abiding people of Yobe State and North East in general, are assured of the Chief of Army Staff's determination to finally rout the Boko Haram/Islamic State West Africa Province terrorists from their hideouts. They are also encouraged to continue to avail troops with actionable information that would enhance speedy execution of ongoing Counter Terrorism Counter Insurgency operations in the region.

MNJTF FORCES NEUTRALISE SCORES OF TERRORISTS IN THE LAKE CHAD REGION AGAIN

1. The troops of Multinational Joint Taskforce (MNJTF) Sector 4 Diffa in Niger Republic displayed uncommon acts of gallantry and bravery when their location was attacked. Troops of the Sector deployed in Baroua came under heavy attack by suspected BHT/ISWAP criminals in the small hours of Wednesday 25 August 2021. The troops tactically canalized the criminals to their effective killing zone, brought heavy fire on them and neutralized scores of the terrorists, while others escaped with various degree of injuries.

2. At the end of the encounter, a total of Forty-Three (43) dead bodies of BHT/ISWAP insurgents were scattered around the engagement areas. One terrorist suspected to be their leader was caught alive and large cache of arms, ammunitions were recovered and four enemy gun trucks were destroyed. Extremely regrettably however, seven gallant MNJTF soldiers paid the supreme sacrifice, while four other soldiers sustained varying degrees of injuries and are being treated in a military hospital.

3. Coincidently, the Force Commander (FC), MNJTF, Major General Abdul Khalifah Ibrahim was in HQ Sector 4 Diffa on 25 August 2021 on the final leg of his familiarization/operational visit to the sectors. General Ibrahim commended the selfless sacrifice and act of gallantry, as demonstrated by the troops. While praying for the repose of the souls of the deceased soldiers whom he described as matyrs of freedom, he condoled the family of the deceased and wishes the wounded soldiers speedy recovery.

4. While addressing the troops at the frontline location of Sector 4, alongside the Commander Sector 4, MNJTF, Col Mamane Sani Kiaou, General Ibrahim said, despite the ongoing waves of BHT/ISWAP terrorists surrender, MNJTF forces will continue to take the battle to all identified enclaves of the insurgents. He described these attacks as futile kicks of a dying horse. He further charged them to brace up, remain alert and deal decisively with remnants of the criminals around the fringes of the Lake Chad region.

Many communities in North West and North Central are contributing money to buy guns and other weapons to protect themselves against bandits, terrorists and other criminals, Daily Trust reports. Wealthy individuals are also reportedly buying personal guns to protect themselves against aggression or buying weapons for groups.

Villagers in Niger, Zamfara, Kaduna, Plateau and Katsina States are on the lead as many communities in States having security challenges have stockpiled assault rifles to protect themselves. The states have been in the spotlight for many years as most of the stories coming from there are about killings and destructions mostly by sundry criminals.

While the residents could not go to farms or markets for fear of invasion, some of them rarely sleep in their houses at night.Community leaders and residents who spoke to our correspondents said they resorted to self-help because security operatives have not been deployed to protect them or the few deployed are overstretched.

Daily Trust reports that the community leaders were only amplifying the position of their governors who at different times expressed frustration with the level of insecurity in their domains.

As chief security officers in their states, they had said they were helpless when it comes to security matters even as in some cases they “formalise” the activities of vigilantes, hunters and other non-state actors to beef up security.

For instance, Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State had severally noted that the use of local vigilantes had helped in addressing the numerous security challenges in his state.
While receiving an award in Owerri in May this year, he had said: “We in Borno State have been experiencing security challenges for over 12 years, however, a lot of transformation is taking place but part of what we are doing to put under control the security situation in the state is to engage the local vigilante; they have taken over the policing of the state to the extent that they had driven the insurgents far away from the state to Sambisa Forest.”

Daily Trust reports that while some communities bought Dane guns, others buy pistols, revolvers, pump-action and in some cases AK-47 rifles.

Many of those who discussed the matter with our reporters said apart from reaching consensus at the community level, they rarely push to get a licence from relevant authorities before buying the arms.

Niger

A source from a community that had suffered from several attacks in Shiroro Local Government told Daily Trust that even though they did not have access to the type of sophisticated weapons being used by bandits, they have already resorted to self-defence using locally made weapons.

“Recently, we killed about 10 bandits when they came to attack us,” he said. Another source from a community in Rafi Local Government, which had also been attacked severally said they did not support arms procurement.

“It was suggested that we should buy arms but our community didn’t support it because if it solves the problem now, it will lead to another problem in the future,” he said.

“If communities have problems with one another in future, they will use it against each other,” he said. An effort to get the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Ahmed Ibrahim Matane to speak on the matter proved abortive as of the time of filing the report.

Kaduna, Plateau communities arming selves

In the last three years, some communities bedevilled by insecurity in Kaduna State have found ways of acquiring arms to defend themselves against banditry.

Our correspondent reports that communities in Kaduna’s Birnin Gwari, Giwa, Igabi and Chikun Local Government Areas have narrated how they now assign young men to keep night vigil of their communities against impending attacks by bandits.

A member of a community in Giwa LGA told Daily Trust that, “We know for a long time that government cannot protect us and so, we now protect ourselves and we don’t need any permission from anyone to do so.”

Another villager from Igabi LGA told our correspondent that when they defended their communities sometimes in a shootout with bandits, the bandits then shift their attention to other vulnerable communities who do not have the firepower to defend themselves.

“We have noticed that there is no point running from our homes because they will still come back. So, it is better to stay back and defend our homes even if it will cost us our lives,” he said.

Daily Trust reports that it has been the same in some communities of Plateau State where local blacksmiths make local firearms for communities to defend themselves against attacks.

“Some of us have obtained a licence from the relevant authorities and went ahead and bought pump-action,” a merchant who does not want his name mentioned, said.

“Even AK-47 is not difficult to buy these days because some people import them provided you are ready to pay. This is the only way to protect yourself, your family and your wealth,” he said.

In Zamfara too

Residents of many communities across the fourteen local government areas of Zamfara State are also stockpiling arms to defend themselves against bandits. Checks across the communities in the state revealed that residents have since discarded the idea of relying on federal security operatives to defend them.

For instance, in one emirate, there are communities known for their bravery when it comes to self -defence to the extent that the armed criminals also suffered losses whenever they raided the communities.

“We are stockpiling our arms…Every household or every individual has a gun and if we sense trouble we come out en mass to defend ourselves and this is helping us,” a community leader, who does not want his name mentioned for security reasons, said.

“There was a time they launched a daring attack on this community. We inflicted severe loss on them and they were forced to limp away in defeat,” a resident told our correspondent.

Our correspondent learnt that in some local government headquarters and other relatively bigger towns, some well-to-do individuals are buying arms for vigilantes or Yan Sakai.

The individuals with relatively good financial standings are sponsoring the vigilantes by purchasing locally made arms, torchlights, mackintosh, clubs and machetes for them,” he said.

Our correspondent reports that residents had earlier formed and armed local vigilantes or Yan Sakai but authorities in the state disarmed them during the last botched peace deal with the armed criminals.

Later, when they realised that the armed men were not willing to surrender their arms, the vigilante groups rearmed themselves again vowing that they would never give in to intimidation by criminals.

In Katsina, some residents who spoke to our reporter said though the call by the governor to acquire arms for self-defence could serve as a confidence booster, it was rather late as most of the villages that suffered banditry attacks don’t have the means to acquire arms.

A resident of Batsiri, a town that was attacked recently, said, “Even if we are to acquire arms, we cannot acquire the ones that can match that of the bandits. Some of the weapons they carry we don’t see them even with our security agents,” he said.

Also speaking, a resident of Kurfi, Salisu Sani (not real names), said some well-to-do individuals had acquired top action guns with which they protect themselves in the event of an attack.

“I am a member of our local security committee and I know a lot of what is going on. I can assure you that the situation is similar in most of the affected LGAs such as Batsari, Safana, Danmusa and Jibia because we work in synergy with them through intelligence sharing and I know some of those who have licences to hold a gun for self-protection,” he said.

Will it not b better for our NA members to fast track the bill for the creation of state police? If everybody dey stockpile weapons, it will lead to anarchy on the long run.

Or the Major General that was killed in Abuja, I just dey wander what the outcome would have been if he was killed somewhere in the South East

A community in Delta state was lockdown for weeks by the military because NCOs were attacked. A Major General was killed in Abuja, and I didn't hear of any lockdown of the location, just to get hold of the killers.

I know a couple of officers that are intelligence officers, I better you that man isn't talking rubbish, even to pass intelligence course is no beans....the lowest past mark for a subject course, during intelligence course is 88%, some are pegged at 98%.
I know an intelligence officer that has been to every country Nigeria has ever done an operation in , even UN , Au, ecomog and the rest.
There's no discussion you bring up that this man doesn't have an idea about.
This man can travel to Sweden for 2 weeks and he's back for a few days, he out to USA again in a few months time Sudan.....just keeps moving around....he didn't get married till he was a red neck officer.
He was the one that made me understand how the army, buys barest option of equipment and peg it as fullest option, and buy maybe 250 at a stretch, but say they bought maybe 100, when money is released to procure more, they take from the balance of 150 and present it as the equipment they bought and share the money.
Don't mess with intelligence officers, I believe what the retired 1 star naval officer is saying. A lot of people don't know a navy commodore is equivalent to a brigadier general....and I'm almost certain he retired as a old commodore, and he didn't retire not too long ago.

“But, then I must also be quick to point out that today, even if all the leaders that we know in Boko Haram are arrested, I don’t think the problem would end, because there are tentacles. I don’t think that people would be satisfied, because the situations that created the problems are not just about the religion, poverty or the desire to rule Nigeria. I think it’s a combination of everything. Except you address all those things comprehensively, it would not work” he added.

#On_Channels_Tv_Sunrise_Daily_NDA_Attack

Commodore Olakunle Olawunmi (A military intelligence veteran with 35 years experience) has spilled it all and says he doesn't care if he is killed.

"I belong to a group in the Military that's not supposed to be seen or heard. Right now, I don't care if I am eliminated"Kunle Olawunmi
Prof of Global Security Studies.

1. Some Governors, ministers and Senators are sponsors of Boko Haram and the Government knows them.

2. Bureau De Change operators are also sponsors of Boko Haram which is also known.

3. Another security breach is that every Friday NDA and all government institutions are opened for Jumat prayers. They come on Friday for worship. Later they become members of the mess who will later spy on the institution and plan their attack.

4. This government does not want to resolve this problem, rather they are escalating it.

5. The solution is not Kinetic solution but non kinetic. You identified the center of gravity, which had been identified. The center of gravity is the sponsors of Boko Haram and Bandits.

6. Most of these sponsors are known within the intelligence community.

7. The DMI, DSS and Police intelligence knows the sponsors very well. The DSS knows very well with tons of files of those sponsoring evil in this country.

8. The defense headquarters knows all those who are behind the terror going on in Nigeria today.

9. The commander in chief knows exactly what is happening but he is quite. When a fish is about to get rotten, the head is the first.

10. The end game is to turn Nigeria into Taliban type of Country. Everyone in the Defense HQ, Army HQ, Naval HQ, and Airforce HQ.

11. The government of Dubai knows the sponsors and they sent lists to the federal government. What did Buhari do?

12. A highly ranked member of this government was interrogated and was found culpable. He is currently a highly rated member of this government.

13. This government wants the government to be islamized.Thats the truth.

14. We are currently in the worst security situation in Nigeria today. CIA actually didn't trust Buhari before 2015. It took the intelligence community and Tinubu to convince Obama and CIA to accept him. They said he was a bigot and will plunge the country.

15. According to Naval Commander Kunle Olawunmi a Prof of Global Security Studies, he said the government directed that all media should be calling them Bandits and unknown gun men so that the international community will be mislead that they are not terrorist.

16. Tagging them Terrorists will invite the international community.

17. He added that the government don't want journalists to report the true picture of what is happening in the country.

18. He added that there must be insider collaboration in NDA. There are a lot of irresponsible people in Nigerian Military formations. This is well known.

19. In few hours the people that attacked NDA will be apprehended, but that's not the solution.

20. The Government should have a policy change. The sponsors should be apprehended and brought to justice.

21. There must be a direct change of policy from Islamization to Democracy.

22. This is a tyrannical government. The damage this government is going to do in the next two years will be more than what they had done in the past six years.

Naval Commander Kunle added that there will be 10% casualties to make it look like it's Banditry and not Islamization.Thats why you see attacks in some Muslims areas so as to convince the international community that the government knows nothing.

RE:OWN PERSONNEL ON DUTY AT THE NDA CCTV MONITORING ROOM WERE SLEEPING

The attention of the Defence Headquarters (DHQ) have been drawn to a news publication by Cable online news media claiming that personnel on duty at the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) CCTV monitoring room were sleeping when bandits attacked the officers' residential quarters leading to the death of two officers and the abduction of 1 other officer.

The Nigerian Armed Forces wishes to state categorically that the allegation is untrue and hence challenge the Cable Online to publish forthwith a verifiable proof of personnel sleeping during the incident.

It is therefore imperative to caution the Cable Online media to guide against being used as a propaganda tool by enemies of our dear country. The Cable Online should not consciously or unconsciously collaborate with these unscrupulous elements to spread unverified stories on the unfortunate event that occurred at NDA Kaduna while tarnishing the good image and reputation of personnel of the Armed Forces of Nigeria (AFN) in the eyes of the civil populace.

It is perhaps important to mention that the AFN as a professional force consist of highly trained personnel who are dedicated to their duties of protecting lives and property of all Nigerians.

Let me use this opportunity, to reiterate that the NDA authorities, acting on the directive of the Chief of Defence Staff has constituted a board of enquiry to ascertain the remote and immediate cause(s) of the breach of security with a view to sanction any personnel found culpable and also prevent future occurrence.

Let me also assure that we shall continue to update the general public as events unfold as we are all aware the search and rescue of the abducted officer is still on. Troops of the Armed Forces of Nigeria will continue with it's operations to ensure all those involved in the dastardly act are brought to justice.

You are kindly requested to disseminate this vital information to the public.

Thank you for your unwavering support to the Armed Forces.
