There are people in that club that would be uncomfortable with a big personality like Ronaldo in the club and the attendant pressure and expectation to win NOW that it would bring.

A manager can not claim to be building for the future if a serial winner like CR7 is in his squad. Such a manager would reject a move for CR7 to avoid stories that touch.

We have only one outright striker and that's Cavani. And he's expected to be missing for most of the season due to international games and the 2 weeks isolation that comes with it.
