I have no problem with them starting regularly. Maybe one in every game.

The manager is not on the level of Tuchel, Pep, or Klopp. This we all know. At least the reasonable ones amongst us know this. It is therefore in our interest to keep the squad as strong as possible in order to try to bridge the gap between our manager and the rival managers.

This is why i keep asking that we get a very good DM in order not to waste the opportunity we have this particular season in which we still have Pogba (likely leaving at the end of the season), Bruno, Cavani (leaving at the end of the season), and Ronaldo (father time calling soon) together.

Our squad next season minus Pogba and Cavani would likely be weaker unless Greenwood, Rashford and some of our youth players make incredible progress over the next 12 months.

We need a solid DM and a strong squad not because it can't be done without them by an elite manager but because it can't be done without them by the manager we have. No matter how much you insult someone you can't force him to give you what he does not have.

I agree with you completely. There is no excuse for not winning at least one of the major trophies this season. The additions of Sancho, Varane, and Ronaldo have changed the expectations.

But if you accept that he is limited compared to his rivals then you should also accept that whatever advantage we can give him is good. This squad with an elite manager would have been one of the favorites for the title but because of the manager most pundits still rate Man Shitty and Chelshit above us.

For me if we don't win major titles this year he should be sacked BUT you know nitrogen and his board members will keep him as long as we make top 4. Hopefully CR7's arrival will inspire a change in aspirations in the club.

I just want to stack the deck in our favor by adding a quality DM that can hold the position on his own and allow us to field the attacking players that we have. That is our best route to titles this season. I am more interested in us winning titles than Amaka proving to me that he is Tuchel and Pep's equal when i already know he is not.

Sir Alex really dealt with a lot of these ex English clubs footballers during their days hence the natural hatred towards anything Man united related.
