This was how I arrived at the conclusion that Arteta was prioritizing defense. I hope everyone is seeing it clearly now.
Think Defence is important in how he wants to play. Ben White is a superb on the ball...Ramsdale is better on the ball than Leno.
They're trying this "British core" thing again and its not looking good.

Biko eh @jodera and others after selling Bellerin and AMN what next ?

So Arteta really want to rely on Cedric and Chambers ?

How did we get here.

Did Xhaka even say anything about his red card on social media?

You can’t compare what Welbeck had on Wenger with Giroud.

The season that pained me the most was that season Giroud was injured going into the season and we tried Sanchez at CF flanked by fast paced wingers like Walcot, Welbeck and Iwobi. We were doing very well, mid season Sanchez was already on double digit goals, we were 2nd and had Leicester to beat, only for Giroud to come back and got his spot instantly and it went downhill from there.
It was that day I officially joined the WOBs aka Wenger Out Bands.

Lol... Na exactly this kinda talk put barca for the big financial mess dem dey now.
How can we be crying sign sign and when they sign we say it's too expensive?

With our current situation, we CANNOT sign Maddison or any elite player. PSG got Messi for free, but even if we pay 100m Messi won't join us. That's the situation we are in. We are not in CL for Fks sake, and clubs are ready to cash in on our plan to rebuild and get back. So if we see a fairly decent player we should be willing to sacrifice and hope things work out and stop whining about the fee.

Spy360 na very emotional and passionate fan and it's affecting his sense of judgement of the current situation we are in presently.

We sold Emi Martinez for 20m and a year after we are buying a replacement for 30m..... that’s bad business if u ask me. I’m one of the people who believe Martinez sale was out of our hands since we have two good keepers who would not sit on the bench for each other , but then the replacement cost just doesn’t make any sense .

The 50million spent on Ben white is a huge chunk of the 128m we have spent this transfer season. Whoever sanctioned that deal needs to be investigated for money laundering .

While everybody was talking about AM , CM and other obvious aspects of our game that has visible deficiency , i was here preaching the gospel of getting a decent RB in place of “jack-of-all-trade-master-of-none” chambers and “washed” bellerin..... Now the chicken has come home to roost. Even if a RB is signed today we all know we will be getting a scrap that would most likely be a backup and not a big game player.

If Edu or whoever is handling our business side of the game want to prove themselves then they need to get rid of players like Kolasinac, Elneny, Xhaka , Bellerin, etc and get decent fee for them ..... it is only then we can think of rebuilding for real
My brother, I agree I may be emotional and passionate, but I am very objective in my reasoning and judgement and if I see a superior reasoning I will concur to it. I need superior reasoning, which no one has put forth.

Wengay committed so many atrocities, one of them was the season we could avenged that embarrassing defeat those scummies gave us
Wilshere was playing rubbish throughout, he missed like 3 one on one this man no remove am until he got injured.
I was so enraged if i see wenger that moment i if kill am, we eventually lost the game since then no going back on that man

We have failed ANM severally and I think it will be fair to allow him leave for Everton. This kid has suffered under Arsenal and I come dey pity am especially after I read that him post. Not saying he has been perfect but I am not happy with how we have treated him.

He is probably the best option for that RB/RWB position but we are putting his future on the line again.

Every serious organisation has what we call hierarchical structure. I am certain Arsenal has one. The authority down the ladder is meant to be respected from bottom up without question, yes the respect is binding, and no, it is not only when it is earned. The coach is damm high on the ladder than the players. Any attempt to encourage those at the bottom of the ladder to disrespect those on top of the ladder is a call for Anarchy.... A total break down of law and order. Business/Football Organisational management is not a military arrangement, but it is not a democracy either or a lawless Banana Republic. If you cannot abide by an organisation rules and order, you simply resign and leave. Even a voluntary organisation has rules of engagement and disengagement that must be followed by members.

Does that mean everyone on top hierarchy is good and qualified to be there? NO. Most organisation have ways of getting feedback and performance rating of their managers. It is even so easy to get in an organisation like Arsenal. The results are out every week. Also every organisation has channels of addressing grievances.... call for Anarchy is not one of them.

We must learn to separate Arteta's character and competence from the position he occupies. Yes he appears incompetent and has character problem... but as long as he occupies that office, no player should disrespect him or publicly criticize him, it is unprofessional. Even Arteta's employer will not do that.

So how can Arteta be checked and questioned? The board that employs him who are higher in authority can receive complaints about him, query him and sack him when necessary.

This is the way management works...and this is elementary management theory.

My brother I don't think anyone disagrees with this your point, and definitely not Roland. But I also believe you will agree that despite the unwritten rule of respect and professionalism, every individual leader also has a role to play to earn (or to deserve) the respect.

Based on the feedbacks we are getting, Arteta needs to do more than he is doing right now.

Perhaps the squad is too big and low in quality, which makes selection criteria difficult to maintain. However, we hope that as the squad is gradually trimmed down, such processes will be clear to all and sundry. So that all the constant bickering will stop.

What spy isn't always factoring mostly is priority. If we have one rich sugar daddy doling out money anyhow, if we like let's spend 100m on an u-23 player, I no go send, but wen we have a limited budget and then we blow it on the least scale of preference while leaving the major ones unattended to, words like "is it your money" is the last thing one should expect. We've spent €138m and €80m out of the €138m is what we blew on what we ordinarily wouldn't have if we scale our priority properly.

Even to sell players off na wahala, yet they'll tell us to trust the process. Which process wen kolasinac is looking like someone that will get back into the team and Chambers is still Manning Rb. Ordinary 20m plus bellerin oo

You are right about priority and I am not oblivious to it. Haven't you seen me say 'if Arteta can pay 50m for a CB I don't expect money to be a problem getting a 60m AM'?

But then the TW is still on. Let's wait for him and Edu to fail before criticism. So far we've done well in getting decent backups and an AM in Odegaard. What's next is a RB and probably another CM. After today we will conclude our judgement. As long as we get the players forget the fee. PSG signed Messi for free mind you.
