If its the radiator, change the radiator, maybe the cells are blocked or its expired.
For the radiator fan, tell the electrician you want the fans to be working as soon as you turn the ignition on.
For the water pump, ita unlikely that's the cause.but they should check it

Making your fan work as soon as you start the car means you are bypassing the thermostat and it is a bad idea

Well said. Op follow this advice and in addition, please buy a 2 cell radiator & remove the thermostat if it is still present. It will make the cooling system better. Since I bought this, get fans working at ignition start and change the water pump, I have add a good experience. I have a good mechanic I can recommend for you to fix your car

Always call or visit mechanics that scans your car first before repairs or visit car scanner guys, it will definitely help.

The way I work on my car is this, I invite a car scanner to scan my ride anytime I notice anything abnormal. Immediately the problem codes are pulled out, I collect all the codes, make research and watch YouTube videos on how to fix the problems.

Then I will invite a mechanic and direct him on what I want him to do. I'm always willing to pay the mechanics well but must follow my instructions while working because I have done my research very well.

I drive around with less stress and I scan my car like 2 times in a month. I tried getting a scanner to be scanning it myself but Jumia delivered rubbish scanner that takes forever to connect to my car. I will make out chance visit the market and get a good scanner for myself to reduce cost of inviting the car scanner.

Always know the cause of the problem before working on your car. Don't allow mechanics to suggest or guess.

Finally, collect and keep safe every part a mechanic removed from your car. Make sure you collect the coils he replaced and keep it safe.

OP don’t take this advice, you are only addressing the symptoms not the cause. Reason you see engines start smoking in few years and require replacement due to performance drop.

Not all over-heating problems is solved by a changed gasket. Could be that the cylinder head is warped so you need to check this as well

I don't need to read further to know this is Toyota Camry 2012-2014 Model.

I had also exact same experience and still having some issues.

This is not my first car but none of them have given me issues like this. I was even considering selling the car. @Mskrix, these are the things I did to stop the overheating:

1. Got a new Gasket (A good one)
2. Removed the thermostat and allowed it flow through
3. Used a relay and something to ensure the fan is blowing at all time and doesn't fail during driving
4. Changed the radiator from single cell to double cell

If you do this as I guess you may have done some of them, you shouldn't be having issues.

Important to state that the first Top Gasket I put was a fake one, so it burnt and dropped me on the road at night.

Change your mechanic else he will milk u dry

Pls don't make your fan permanent as adviced above. It could cause other problems.
If you are around akowonjo/Egbeda axis, I could give you a good Japanese car mechanic that will fix your car at minimal reasonable cost. Ie your burnt gasket.
As per overheating, if it concerns your radiator, forget it. Simple matter. "Murphy Agbede" will take out that radiator, open the cells and clean it up. That car will work like new.
My sis pajero after all the rubbish by lekki mechanics and overheating still continued, I told her to send the car over. Sharp sharp overheating from radiator was fixed. 2 years later, still no issues.

Bro this thing has happened to me , most engine's follow come gasket are very strong and its usually not the problem but those foolish mechanic will tell you to changed the gasket. in my own case i just had to fix the radiator , it was a leaking radiator and na one appreciates mechanic boy that fix it o, the guy collected 3k. inside the 3k he even contracted it to another person who blocked the leakage in the radiation.

Point to take note of is that, if your gasket is bad, you can't even drive up to 2 minutes before the car will heat up so if you could still drive like 10 minutes before noticing the heat, then its not gasket.

let me tell you a simple truth don't ever go to buy a car with a mechanic alone always take along a trusted friend because most mechanics makes a bargain with the seller to have a percentage off the price and which the seller agrees if he convinces you to buy the car that is not really in a good condition. so be wise

Sorry about your troubles. Your radiator is probably leaking. A water/oil mix may explain the ruined gasket. You may need to change your radiator.

When you get a good mechanic all your car problems will stop. Its also good if you can go to your car's online forum to see what people are saying about the car and know a thing or two about the car you drive.

Solution:
Run a scan on the car.
Fix the cause of the problem.

One or two of the cooling system is bad.
1. Fan not working
2. Radiator is block or leaking
3. Radiator cap is loose and leaking
4. Thermostat probably bad
5. Faulty water pump

Let the scan reveal, then repair the cause of the problem before fixing the burnt gasket and replacing the coolant.
