So I just ordered for my gcms note through gcmsonline.com. They sent a consent form to me to fill.
Please under the designated representative information, whose information should I fill. Should I fill mine? I am the one making the order.
I used an agent for my application but I don't want to use her
Please advise

Please don't fill the section 1 meant for the rep requesting your gcms on your behalf. They usually fill in their name and tell you not to fill it. Only fill section 2 meant for you, put date, print out and sign with blue pen. Then rescan back and send to them as mail attachment, stating if you want the gcms in English or French

Please read the mail that came with the consent form. It has instructions highlighted with red ink. Don't make mistakes in the consent form cos if wrongly done, it will affect your gcms coming on time.

Thanks

You have a 2.1, why a PG. Cert Program?

You should be aiming for a Masters degree in a Computer Science related program either Research based Masters or course based Masters.

if you have a very good reason for going for PGcert in a Computer Science related program then you are free to apply for it. It's now left for the Visa Officer at his/her discretion to agree if your reasons for going for a PG.Cert is cogent or not.

Get across to JustMellow (@GCMSwriter) as regards your SOP

Note
Admission is Important, Getting an Approved Study Visa is IMPORTANTA

My brother, you have said well.

The reason l want to go for a graduate certificate program is for me to get the technical skills needed to excel in the information technology workforce.

To be specific, I want to go for graduate certificate program in cybersecurity analysis since I have a degree in cybersecurity (option in computer science)

For those with doubts, I got PPR for a one year program, same with so many others on this thread. Just put in a tight application and pray to God for the best. My application was not even perfect like so many others.
No need for fear mongering.

I think that if your LOA has co-op written in it then you would need to apply for a work permit alongside your study permit application

hello, gurus in the house, am not new here have been an observer for years, but I have been motivated to join this journey of moving to Canada. please you guys will indulge me with my long story.
I am a graduate of mass communication from a university in Benin republic Cotonou, with a 2.1 (BSc) I will be going for NYSC this year, I want to sponsor myself and I got my money from forex and betting (30 million naira) and still making profit daily, I want to go for a programing course in Canada I contacted Humber college and I was told I can apply for the Graduate Certificate of Information Technology Solution program, meanwhile, I want to apply for a programming professional course for 5 months during my NYSC, that is my story, now my questions, I know all applications are not the same

1. Can I get a study visa with the change of career, if I can't what other course can I apply to?

2. My proof of fund, can it be accepted?

thanks, I would really appreciate your response.

Big Congratulations to you.
After the case was re-opened for redetermination by another VO, what were the updated documents that you were asked to submit?
mrkingz:
Greetings everyone,

PPR ALERT!!!
via JR in 49 days (7 WEEKS)

This is ALL ABOUT JESUS!!
He gets the Glory!!!

And to Nairaland; THANK YOU. I came in here at thread 17. Read my way through. Got all that could be got from excellent minds on this forum to pull a good application.
I hope someone gets something that can be of a good help.

So,
TIMELINE; 1ST APPLICATION
. Online submission - Jan 22 2021
. Biometrics - Jan 25
. Background check - began almost immediately
. IELTS request letter - Feb 10 2021 with deadline Mar 13
. IELTS Submitted: Mar 13
. Upfront Medical - Mar 13
. Medical updated to pass - Mar 15
. GCMS notes requested - May 3
. Refusal letter - May 27

REASONS FOR REFUSAL:
1. Personal assets and financial status. 2. Purpose of visit

. GCMS notes received - Jun 3;
When notes came in, these were my observations:
1. My 2 children ages were wrongly captured
2. That I had lump sum whereas I didn’t have any.
3. Referred to my sponsor who was my Brother In-law as ‘’Uncle’’ instead of Brother In-law. I also had my Dad as Co-sponsor.
4. There was no Senior Visa Officer's comment.
And it was during the JR process, when Rule 9 notes were requested that I got to know what the SVO's comments were. The SVO ‘‘accused me’’ of
5. not having career progression, no correlated employment history, no established relationship with my brother in-law and that even if there was a relationship, that there is ‘’no obligation’’ on him to pay for my studies!

Meanwhile, my detailed 8 paged SOP was very clear on Career progression; Mine was a career switch – from Biochemistry to Administration, With 8 years work experience cutting across Marketing, Public Administration, & currently as P.A..
My SOP was one of a story telling as I knew I had to convince the VO why the career switch.

On ‘’no obligation to pay’’; I submitted notarized gift deed, sworn affidavit of sponsorship signed by both sponsors.
I made sure I covered everywhere cover-able..yet, breakfast was served! Check out the detailed TOC attached.

So, with all the errors and wrong conclusions i saw in the GCMS notes, I was convinced that the VO was being negligent with my application. I felt I had a strong application. I decided to go for JR straight. My mind was convinced and made up!

I reached out to a Canadian law firm.
They were very professional.
And 1st things 1st; they had to re-assess my application to be sure that my application was strong enough to go for JR.
Their best hands went through it and in their own words - ''The refusal was unreasonable''. They saw that i had a good case.

A 10-paged document was prepared in my defense countering IRCC's reasons for refusal. If you see citations from previous Supreme court cases, flying around everywhere in my defense eh, omo, me ma, i was feeling good freading the whole paper work!

And yes, God's favor was all over it.

And today, 7 weeks after the application for JR/RE-determination was submitted,
It has ended in praise.

JR TIMELINE
. Submission of a 10-page document countering reasons for refusal prepared by lawyers – July 21
. Settlement offer agreed/reached – July 30
. Case open for re-determination/request for updated documents – Aug 11
. Updated documents submitted – Aug 16
. Raised web form & email informing them that I have uploaded requested docs – Aug 18
. Confirmation from IRCC that docs have been received – Aug 20
. PPR – Sep 8

ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE TO HIM THAT BELIEVES!
WHEN GOD IS IN IT, THERE IS NO LIMIT!

I pray for everyone waiting on their PPR, YOU TOO WILL SHARE YOUR VICTORY STORY!
Amen.

And by the way, did i mention that i just turned 40..

Lol boss remove small from your gambling profits and pay for frankrobben's services. He'll sort you out and make sure you have an air tight application instead of stressing your self and contemplating over different opinions you'll see here. Save you time and assures you of a professional touch to your application.
