Someone should please respond because I feel like I am not visible here

With regards to your first question concerning if it's ok for you to go for masters in environmental science, occupational safety which aligne with your educational background or buisness degree which goes with your past and present buisness work experience.
For me I will say it all depends on what your future prospects or should I say long term goals are, so if you can answer this then you can easily pick which course to go for in Masters.

As for the second question, it's not that easy to secure admission in Masters program with 2.2 bcus admission for Masters program is usually competitive, schools always go for applicants with good grade first before they start considering others.
Nevertheless, you can still give it a shot, you might get admitted in Masters program and while your on it make sure you apply for another Admission for PGD, anyone that works out , you go with it.

When it comes to travel history and you want to know if it increases chances of application , well to me it helps in a way, in the sense that if an applicant,in the past has traveled to U.S, Australia or maybe any of the developed countries using visit Visa or any visa and the person didn't overstay or isn't in any black book of any of the countries then it will help the applicant application to some extent.
Bcus if an applicant have been to any of the developed countries before and return back home without overstaying or causing any trouble there, then in the eyes of the VO , the applicant is credible and this will favour the applicant.

As for the fourth question, yes of course, your Dad can be a co sponsor with you.
Since you've some of age, try and demonstrate good home ties, judging from your post it seems you've already started acquiring personal assets for yourself, it's a good one cus it's essentially here base on your age.
I hope this answers your questions

Good morning nairaland, i have a friend who is trying to apply for a study permit with tampered statement of account, like virtual statement of account, and i have been telling this person that IRCC sometimes go as far to go and comfirm this account sometimes or if am wrong please correct, and if you are caught you could be given a ban. Or is it based on luck, please advice me oo so i can advice this person. Me i didn't do it because am not ready to be given a ban and i am not ready to spoil Nigerians name. still booking space to come share testimony for my own application

It's unfortunate Canada embassy now sees Nigerians as applicants who always submit forge documents bcus most of the misrepresenting cases the have, majority of it comes from naija.
That's why they always scrutinize Nigeria study visa applications very well bcus of this and this has really giving the country bad name already.
And I blame agents for this bcus the contribute mostly on it.

To my surprise, I know someone that used an agent to apply for visa and the agent manipulated the figures in the applicant bank account by working in the account and I thought the application will chop 5yrs ban but to my surprise after 3months,the visa was approved and my jaw dropped.
I said to myself does it mean Almighty Canada that is good in fishing this kind of things out allow this one to slip pass them.

Congratulations!!!! How much did JR cost you?

mrkingz:
Greetings everyone,

PPR ALERT!!!
via JR in 49 days (7 WEEKS)

This is ALL ABOUT JESUS!!
He gets the Glory!!!

And to Nairaland; THANK YOU. I came in here at thread 17. Read my way through. Got all that could be got from excellent minds on this forum to pull a good application.
I hope someone gets something that can be of a good help.

So,
TIMELINE; 1ST APPLICATION
. Online submission - Jan 22 2021
. Biometrics - Jan 25
. Background check - began almost immediately
. IELTS request letter - Feb 10 2021 with deadline Mar 13
. IELTS Submitted: Mar 13
. Upfront Medical - Mar 13
. Medical updated to pass - Mar 15
. GCMS notes requested - May 3
. Refusal letter - May 27

REASONS FOR REFUSAL:
1. Personal assets and financial status. 2. Purpose of visit

. GCMS notes received - Jun 3;
When notes came in, these were my observations:
1. My 2 children ages were wrongly captured
2. That I had lump sum whereas I didn’t have any.
3. Referred to my sponsor who was my Brother In-law as ‘’Uncle’’ instead of Brother In-law. I also had my Dad as Co-sponsor.
4. There was no Senior Visa Officer's comment.
And it was during the JR process, when Rule 9 notes were requested that I got to know what the SVO's comments were. The SVO ‘‘accused me’’ of
5. not having career progression, no correlated employment history, no established relationship with my brother in-law and that even if there was a relationship, that there is ‘’no obligation’’ on him to pay for my studies!

Meanwhile, my detailed 8 paged SOP was very clear on Career progression; Mine was a career switch – from Biochemistry to Administration, With 8 years work experience cutting across Marketing, Public Administration, & currently as P.A..
My SOP was one of a story telling as I knew I had to convince the VO why the career switch.

On ‘’no obligation to pay’’; I submitted notarized gift deed, sworn affidavit of sponsorship signed by both sponsors.
I made sure I covered everywhere cover-able..yet, breakfast was served! Check out the detailed TOC attached.

So, with all the errors and wrong conclusions i saw in the GCMS notes, I was convinced that the VO was being negligent with my application. I felt I had a strong application. I decided to go for JR straight. My mind was convinced and made up!

I reached out to a Canadian law firm.
They were very professional.
And 1st things 1st; they had to re-assess my application to be sure that my application was strong enough to go for JR.
Their best hands went through it and in their own words - ''The refusal was unreasonable''. They saw that i had a good case.

A 10-paged document was prepared in my defense countering IRCC's reasons for refusal. If you see citations from previous Supreme court cases, flying around everywhere in my defense eh, omo, me ma, i was feeling good freading the whole paper work!

And yes, God's favor was all over it.

And today, 7 weeks after the application for JR/RE-determination was submitted,
It has ended in praise.

JR TIMELINE
. Submission of a 10-page document countering reasons for refusal prepared by lawyers – July 21
. Settlement offer agreed/reached – July 30
. Case open for re-determination/request for updated documents – Aug 11
. Updated documents submitted – Aug 16
. Raised web form & email informing them that I have uploaded requested docs – Aug 18
. Confirmation from IRCC that docs have been received – Aug 20
. PPR – Sep 8

ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE TO HIM THAT BELIEVES!
WHEN GOD IS IN IT, THERE IS NO LIMIT!

I pray for everyone waiting on their PPR, YOU TOO WILL SHARE YOUR VICTORY STORY!
Amen.

And by the way, did i mention that i just turned 40..

Hello @OCT202020. Please i sent you mail. Thanks

I've acknowledged your mail sir and I'll try as much as possible to address any concern raised.

STILL, I strongly opine that issues should be shared here (if it's nothing too personal though), that way, we're opened to different and most times a better angle of view.

Just my thought though but all the same, you're welcome bro.

Yes you can Inform IRCC of your passport renewal. there is no issues with that. Just make sure you scan the bio data page and also upload it with the webform.

Also note that your previous passport number is always included in your current passport.
You can go ahead and inform them

The working might be the agent paid in money which the person will be charged certain interest but money was actually there. It happens all the time but if it was worked on. The bank will raise a suspicion when request comes in from embassy for confirmation.

Hello house, I need advice on this issue please.
My application was refused though I have ordered for my GCMC note but I’m thinking about my sponsorship. I used one of my uncle tho we are not related but he wrote a letter, gave me his bank statement closing account 15M, gave me his passport and tax clearance. I guess this might have effect since we not related and why spend so much money on me.
So I’m thinking if my parents could be, am suggesting if they go to there micro finance banks because that is where they use for there salary money, if those ones could loan them a reasonable amount of money and again all my siblings are working our last born is writing his project. So I guess it won’t be why spend all the amount on me alone. I’m just thinking and I want advice please. Thanks

Some people have done it in the past and got away with it...it's advisable to not do anything that will complicate his application if he doesn't have funds then he should save up till then apply. Personally I think borrowing funds is even better than using a fraudulent bank statement. If he wants to borrow funds he should send the money in bits and make sure there's a good inflow and outflow of money from the account and lastly the funds should be there at least 4 months before he applies...not that I'm giving a good advice but it's the next best thing to do.

Tbh 15million is too small. Maybe 20-30 million might seem okay excluding your personal funds(living expenses in your own account)
