Politics and influence of "big tv" that is, DStv and star times.

They might be frustrating them with tax, levies, unaproval of licences etc. And nowadays, nigeria ain't the best place to do business. Even ShopRite sold their shit and ran.

TSTV came in with a lot of promises they couldn't fulfill.
May God help them bounce back and give DSTV a good competition

On a lighter note, they're suffering from Buhari's Syndrome.

On a more serious note, they need serious, vibrant, and foresighted management board.

So much potentials yet, nothing to show for it.

Same issue with almost every innovative Nigerian start up: funding wahala !

To take on market leaders like DSTV...one needs a very deep pocket.

And here in Nigeria, you are your own. Banks won't give you money, government doesn't care and we don't have the kinda organized Silicon Valley investors here.

So our innovative young people are easily fvcked by their big competitors.

Let's start with content. What do they have that DSTV and Startimes don't have? (They don't have the Premier league , or any European league...do they? )

Second, how many Nigerians are ready to buy a TSTV subscription when they already have DSTV or Star times ?

Third....streaming is the next thing. People are now watching Netflix and other streaming platforms...and DSTV has a leg in that business.

Nigeria is not for them. They're not determined to do something serious. Until then.
