This is not good
Actually, it is. It is good for labs doing Covid19 tests here. They will make a hell of money. Because instead of travellers spending money over there to do Covid tests abroad within 7 days before flight, now they will allow you to fly here without Covid tests, but when you get to the airport you have to do it with the local airport labs here. They are trying to make money

Didn't u hear that vaccination doesn't mean u can't still get the virus??
When we told u that the vaccine was just a strategy to keep the economy of the world running .. u people said na propaganda...

Since I was a kid ..we have been taking vaccine..from polio to meningitis and other viruses..this is the first time vaccine makers including nations are saying they are not liable for whatevs outcomes and u can still get the virus you are receiving vaccination against..yet they are forcing people
whether to take it or not is not what i am saying. Other nations have vaccination status or antigen trst as proofs to board an airplane.
Somehow in Nigeria where nothing works, only PCR test is being mandated because some people are making insane money from it.

It makes sense to say you need a pcr test since the clause that vaccination doesn't mean you can't be infected is on ground ... infact..they say u can can get vaccine multiple times..
So if pcr test shows u have covid even after vaccination, u'll get the vaccine again...and again...and again ...

Why is this government not taking evidence of vaccination as proof for Covid-19 status?

Why should i still pay for PRC test after being fully vaccinated?

Have they not made enough money from travellers?

There is cash to be made.

My experience too

I think you misunderstood the message. With this development, nothing has actually changed. You will still have to do the PCR test 72 hours before departure from wherever you are, and another PCR test 7 days after you land in Nigeria.

Only change here is that the day 7 PCR test which you hitherto had to pay for online (using their convoluted/confusing website) before boarding the flight to Nigeria, they're saying you can now choose to make the day 7 test payment when you arrive Nigeria.

This is not good.

They are already milking people of hard earned money at the airport. Why is thus country bent on frustrating humans?

If your web platform has issues, fix it for Heaven’s sake. After a long hectic flight, i have to come and start suffering at the already hectic airport to pay and bribe? Lord knows how much they will charge now. Maybe 200k for covid test.

I saw this coming with the sudden emergence of covid testing centers all over Lagos. So sad. The world has moved on but naija wants to keep millking pple. sad
I think you will still have the option to pay online before flying to Nigeria if you prefer that.

Do countries really accept vaccination status inplace of PCR test result as a pass to board planes? Which countries?

None that I have heard of.

I think some countries accept vaccination card to avoid quarantine now. But you still take the tests before travelling and in some cases after arrival sef.

Sneers!

The last time I was in Nigeria, I paid the damn money and had my sample collected. I never saw the result. Called the useless lab and they kept telling me to wait for my result. I have been waiting for close to 10 months now.

It's all about the money. Nobody cares!

If there is a next time for me, I will just pay the money and forget about the test.

The lab guy nearly found crude oil from drilling my nostrils with his swab lipsrsealed lipsrsealed

The last time, I didn't pay online before departing for Nigeria. On arrival the port health official say make I raba am so im go clear me. I just give am $20 find my way.

Which legitimate viable businesses can give at least 20,000 Naira profit daily with an investment of 2m?
I mean serious businesses and I am not interested in those forex ,Agroinvestment,Ponzi or cryptocurrency.

akintundeforgrace18 @ g mail. Com

20k daily from #2m investment. That is 1% returns/day ie 365% return per annum.

Ogbeni you either play betnaija or seek for money doubler to have that returns

Wealth generation isn't a rush in cash out thing. Capital in itself is useless without sound ideas and Labour

If you are willing to invest the Labour, buy a corolla and register it for cab hailing and drive it yourself. Even at that daily profit of 20k isn't sure.

Beware of dupes who will flood your mail now. Anybody that promises you anything like that is a fraud, avoid him/her

I wish you the best

The majority of EU member states may require either evidence of vaccination, proof of full recovery, PCR test (under 48 hrs) or antigen test (under 72 hrs).

These requirements change of course. But Nigeria has refused to consider anything other than PCR...even before report started showing that the vaccinated can still contract it/infect others.

I dont think they require either. Despite your vaccination status, most EU countries still require you to show a negative covid test result taken at least 72 hours before you get on the flight to their country. Full vaccination status will only save you the inconvenience of having to quarantine yourself when you arrive the country.

The only difference is that most EU countries now accept Rapid antigen tests which you can even do at the airport prior to departure, but Nigeria (and many other countries) still accepts only PCR tests.
