Where you able to book an appointment as a first time traveler? If yes, I would appreciate if you can feedback on how you sorted this out. Thanks

ebysuper:
Hi Everyone, does anyone know if France is accepting first time traveler appointments? I tried to make an appointment in Lagos but no availability. Abuja on the other hand has some openings for short stay but it didn't specify if it's for first time travelers or not. Has any first time travelers gotten visa lately? or they are only giving frequent travelers?

Meaning, if you check the link above, there are no available appointments for a first time visitor yet.

Please for the Dutch transit visa, there is a section where they asked for "proof of economic situation". I understand that this means bank statement for a month.

Please who has an idea the amount of money they're looking to see in the account?

Thank you.

@afembaba

Malta is part of Schengen, so you can apply

Hello,

I didn't make the rule, you need to ask the French Consulate in Lagos, to my knowledge they clearly stated, UK, USA, CANADA and Any SCHENGEN State.

If your Maltese Visa was a Schengen, then you can apply as a frequent traveller.

Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by Elmaximilliano:
Good morning all. I have been scheduled for a France Visa Application appointment at Abuja but I want to clarify a lot of things.
I'm suppose to travel with my wife for a two weeks holiday and we are first time travelers.
We have a two years old daughter
I'm a full time forex trader with a healthy account statement
My wife doesn't work.
I have a company that hasn't been fully registered yet with CAC
my company has a functional website for online presence.
I have all necessary documents ready but which of these scenarios gives us the highest chance of getting a France visa

SCENARIO 1
If I claim my wife works (in a friend's company), do I need to submit her account statement (there will be no indication of being paid salary) considering I am the one sponsoring the trip and will take care of all expenses. Isn't my bank account enough to cover proof and source of funds?

SCENARIO 2
Considering my company isn't yet registered with CAC is it better to just say I am an entrepreneur or do I still go ahead to use the company letter headed paper to introduce myself?

SCENARIO 3
My wife doesn't work and I'm am self employed but we have a daughter and landed properties (to show we are definitely just holidaying and coming back)

I'll really appreciate your responses. thank you

@Elmaximilliano

In my Opinion ,you are Capable of Sponsoring your family on a Vacation. There's no need for assumptions.

Firstly, for your wife its no crime to be a home maker.

Draft a good and detailed Cover letter stating your wife is a home maker hence you are sponsoring everything. Remember to include her bank statement irrespectively of the account balance at the time of printing.

Attach the necessary document at your disposal and Remember to have an itinerary that works backed with Cancellable booked tours.

On your Company part, you need your company lawyer (if any) to draft a letter on your behalf stating your position and what you /your company does. Include few transaction evidences if any to prove you are actually trading.

Lastly, kindly edit your last post with account statement details. Thats between you and your bank.

Try and register your company, it does not take time. You can do it online on CAC website and you will get it in your email btw 1 to 2 weeks

I dont think there's a decision center in Nigeria hence it's irrelevant where you submit (location).

Just pick one with Avenue dates you like

Hi,

Present the Deed of Assignments, Surveys, Architectural & Structural Drawings and other relevant documents from the government, also, if possible state why the C of O isn't available at this time.

Good Luck.
