An IPOB member presented a solid argument that would forever stick to my memory.

The guy said, "People have paid the supreme price for this struggle, while many others are in prison for the same reason.

When I read statements like this, it just makes me feel that most Igbos do not have a problem with oppression if it is being perpetrated by fellow Igbos.

Is this the sort of repressive administration that IPOB wants to run in the Southeast? An administration that legislates people's freedom of movement and robs them of their rights to freely determine what they would like to do? If that is the case, why do they have a problem with being a part of Nigeria then? Or is it no longer oppression when an Igbo oppresses a fellow Igbo? Would you be this pragmatic if the bread seller was attacked by people from another tribe?


Let’s get what we want first and see if Igbos won’t rise against IPOB if they ever run a repressive govt.

There are prices that must be paid for what you want in life and this is one of it.

If the economy of the Southeast continues to bleed like this, the governors and political class who prioritize their personal ambitions over the good of the Igbo nation would be forced to retrace their steps.

If anything, the rest of the country now knows that the political class have lost control of the people.

The too many sit-at-homes is becoming annoying, I admit, but if that is it, then let that be it.

But which responsible business owner would want to test the resolve of a hostile group with his business?

Banks shut their doors, big shopping malls with perishables shut their doors too, not because they support IPOB but they know their business can be hurt. But this bakery owner was the wisest.

Isn’t that irresponsibility on the part of the business owner who was forewarned but refused to be forearmed?
