if u are born before 1992, go and get age declaration and u need local govt certificate. Go to your state liason office wherever you live or send someone to your council HQ in the village.

I changed my middle and surname after marriage. I was at Abeokuta passport office to do change of name (DIY) today and was told it is best for me to do change of name on my passport in Abuja.
Please has anyone had success doing this outside Abuja?

Ps -Abeokuta is quite DIY friendly. I found it very organized and people were quite wiling to help. The lady attending to me made several calls and kept going to confer with other people and teasing me for doing self download. The only thing is that time from capture for DIY/ self download is like 4 - 6 weeks. And they don't have booklets at the moment so they have a backlog ( overheard this while waiting).

It is possible to change your centre if you haven't captured and it is in the same price range (17k versus 26k). I initially paid for another control but they helped me change it to Abeokuta when I had complaints. I printed out a new payment slip, acknowledgement slip and form. You can open the portal and do the live chat. They respond quite promptly.

Lastly, some people asked about Ibadan. I was there this week and was told they have produced passports from June and July so if you captured then you may want to check again.

change of name due to marriage does not need one to go to abuja. I will advice u to change only ur surname and leave ur middle name alone. I repeat change of name on passport due to marriage for females foes not need one to go to abuja

hi, don't really no much about doing it yourself. I've always paid an officer to get it done. I just give them details or the passport I'm renewing.. my son renewed his own last Yr and it looked so different from all the previous ones. That was how I got to know its the new e passport. Maybe others can help you out.

thanks so much. I thought as much. The immigration guy at Abeokuta I spoke with this morning already told me.I was even told they don't have booklet for now. Only ph has. My prayer is for the NIN to drop however today/tomorrow so they can do express for her.

Thanks but you don't understand the issue. I have been doing it myself for almost two months now but no success yet and I need it urgently. They keep giving excuses of no booklets..

Does anyone have an idea if there’s booklet in Festac Immigration office.

no difference... just in the state one is applying and the cost.. lagos, abuja and ph issue out the enhanced e passport tht must be processed with NIN. the rest of the states do the e passport, obtained without NIN.

Saw some people leaving with passports so i assume there is. Better go there and ask to be sure.

Festac is the Best ....... DIY route paid only the amount online not a penny extra. Submitted on Tuesday and Captured today. Orderly process.

It means Encode. That means 90% completed. Hopefully it should be out next week or SAME DAY, if you can successfully see the PCO and give him strong reason why the passport should be out immediately.
