I am dropping my own testimony here too.

IOM: 2nd Sept Abuja (after hustling Ikeja IOM, I realised e go make sense make I kuku go do abuja IOM and take the opportunity finish up biometrics in abuja, because no 2am writing names Lol.. so I flew even when it seemed I could get the Ikeja own because things started easing up a bit with the phone lines)

Biometrics: 9th sept Abuja (priority) (the second day I came for walk-in they cancelled walk-in and luckily I got appointment 2 days later. 42k saved)
Transfered to DMC: 9th sept
Received by DMC: 10th sept
Transfered to VAC: 17th sept (8:52am)
Received by VAC: 17th sept
Collection Mail: 17th sept

Student Visa Approved

Submitted docs: sponsor's bank statements, birth cert, consent letters, statement of result (na wetin I use apply the School), passport, IOM TB (abnormal), NO WAEC (I had my original but as it was not mentioned in my CAS, I decided not to upload).
Submitted all documents myself

No non straightforward mail
No mail at all

The wait no easy at all. Na only God fit help person. God pls remember people that have waited and waited, I can't imagine what some are going through. common 6 business days I don shake taya

hey how are you. i choose Salford this september too. i did biometric on the 26th of August on priority for main applicant and standard for the 4 dependant.
i got a non straightforward mail on the 2nd of September and i have been waiting since then. i don tire!

was suppose to submit same time with my sis, but my cas was delayed, same school, we are both minors, sis visa is out but she hasn't travelled. POF was has been in mom's account long before admission was out just for the purpose of our application over 50k pounds still in the account not a dime has been added no removed since sis got her visa.
how safe is my application? could this be the reason for the not straightforward thingy?

sis hasn't left because our parent want to take us together.

He is not a minor, visa wise a child is someone between the age of 4-17, your brother is a young adult.

If he did not travel with the money how then is he surviving?

What you are trying to do is to recycle the same money your younger brother used.

Your brother applied and got his visa then travel to the UK without the money and now you want to use the same money.

If you do that and get caught you will be refused and possibly implicate your younger brother

As long as the money meets the financial requirement for both of you then you have nothing to worry about.

I forgot to add, tuition and accommodation for both has been paid in full to the last penny, im just worry because of the not straightforward mail

Send a mail with your passport data page attached and you will be given a date within a week. I have two people who send mails this week and they were given Tuesday and Wednesday this coming week. Stop wasting time on their website and send them a mail

Non straightforward mail 31st/08/2021

Then different negative thoughts started ringing in our heads.
Issues we had;
•mistake in my baby’s consent letter (could be seen as minor)
•hubby was refused in US and two other countries but we tot declaring only one was sufficient and we declared only US.

Those 4 weeks and 4 days we waited for seemed like forever. Waking up with sadness mixed with headache, anxiety, high BP, fear and all sort. But we really prayed, my mum over prayed. Alhamdulilah it’s all joy now.
In fact, it was the non straight forward mail that led me to nairaland because I just needed to mix with pple who can understand me. I mailed a number of pple privately here, all due to my fear. Standard application is indeed something to stay clear of!
I pray other waiting applicants get their visas with joy, aameen.

Congratulations!!! This was exactly how I was feeling when I was waiting after the not straightforward email. I would wake up sad and anxious, was also always having constant headache. But I thank God for his mercies

Upload POF for urself and don't have to upload that of your husband since it's not in your name

Then your husband should upload his own for himself and the kids since it covers them.

I think applying with dependent at the same time is a major risk factor to getting the non straight forward email and i think the email simply means “sorry we can’t review your applications right now because it’s connected to another person (dependent) I.e not straight forward and right now we have a lot on our hands,we’ll surely review your applications later though might be outside the normal time frame.”
I strongly advise that the main applicant and dependent apply at different times to avoid high BP. Dependent can apply after the main applicant is given visa.
