The other day one was saying the best league's produce national teams that win competitions.

When they brought up Denmark and Greece, that was when remembered they were one-offs and flukes.

They were also reminded about how Italy couldn't even qualify for Euro 92 despite having Milan dominate what is now the Champions league and Parma & Juve were contesting all European finals in the mid 90s. The line has gone dead.

All to justify why that midget male Nkiru Sylvanus is failing to score from a deflected tap-in in the European version of the Benenois Championship.

I said the best league in the world should be producing the best national team. A = B doesn’t necessarily infer B = A. All squares are rectangles doesn’t mean all rectangles are squares.

Spinazolla isn’t the best left back in Serie A as well and yet Italy won the World Cup. The conditions that you are putting up as a drawback for England is universal for the other teams.

Immobile cannot clean the shoes of Ronaldo, Lautaro, Lukaku or even Zlatan and yet Italy didn’t use that as an excuse to win the Euros so why are you so particular about Maguire?
