What you described is exactly that, an emotional response on the part of Peter, which again, Jesus Christ did not decry as sin.

2. Peter did not sin, and Jesus Christ did not rebuke Peter for a sin. So Jesus Christ's rebuke of Satan was not that of sin committed. This passage does not in any way help your assertions so far.

To top it off, consider what the same Jesus said to Peter in Luke 22
Pay particular attention to what Jesus Christ said in response to Peter's claim in verse 33.

Reading that passage above and taking a close look at Jesus Christ's response to Peter's claim, one sought of begins to see Satan as God's Quality control manager, who tests each person to determine those who are of God and those who are not. Whether a person passes or fails the test does not depend on Satan nor the modes of his supposed test or what many of you like to call "attacks", but instead on the disposition of the tested. Blaming Satan pretty much amounts to blaming your examiner for your failing WAEC or JAMB.

Jesus Christ made it clear to Peter that He Peter would fail the test. And interestingly, Jesus Christ never mentions Satan being to blame for Peter's failure to come nor did Jesus Christ advice Peter to pray against the test nor be on the 'lookout' for Satan, the tester.

This is not far from the image we are presented of Satan in the Book of Job where God sends Satan out to test Job. God didn't warn Job of Satan, neither did the name Satan get any mention from Job throughout
ordeal. And we learn that the reason Job did not fail God's test was because Job held on to his conviction aka self control.

This conversation is about the sins of men, is it not? And you trying to give reason for why you pretend self-control is not possible for men where their sins are concerned, is that not it?

God already judged you pastors 2000 years ago when He laid down His Law Jesus Christ before all the world. So when your pastors lie to you in the name of God, they have already been judged(past tense) by the Law , Jesus Christ, and found guilty of being false teachers and false prophets by the Law, Jesus Christ, who judges all sins in the Kingdom of God, right here on earth. Jesus Christ taught us that by submitting and obeying His commandments, knowing the Truth, we each overcome Sin in our lives - John 8 vs 31 - 44 where a lifestyle of sin/iniquity is of the flesh. And self-control, through knowing of the Truth is the only way prescribed by Jesus Christ to be set free from slavery to sin. - He taught us no other way

Now, as for your battle against the world, Jesus Christ proclaimed that He had already overcome the world. But here you claim that you are fighting battles in the world against agents of darkness, and I am asking you where Jesus Christ taught you of this and how He taught you to fight things.

Where did Jesus Christ teach you that it takes more than self-control ?

You realize you are telling me that what Jesus Christ taught in John 8 vs 31 - 44, even giving us several parables like the one in Matthew 7 vs 24 - 29 , is untrue since you claim it takes more than self-control to obey God?

Jesus Christ only promised the Spirit of God to those who had already overcome slavery to sin , not to those yet to overcome slavery to sin and this He taught in - John 14 vs 15 - 25 . A Person still struggling to overcome Sin yet refusing to obey Jesus Christ's command to adopt self-control, in John 8 vs 31 - 44, cannot have the Spirit of God as a Helper since the Spirit of God is Holy and cannot dwell in unclean vessels. So there's a dilemma.

What does this praying accomplish if the one who is being prayed for rejects - refuses to do - the teachings of Jesus Christ?

I decided to take Him at His Word and I began obeying them, I began noticing His presence. Eventually, He stated speaking to me and the rest is history.
