Moghalu is still praising that failed government? Not all of us suffer dementia and not all of us were so young not to tell black from white.

First, dollar wasn't stabled at $150.. It crossed to over $200+.
And most importantly is the fact that it ess your boss, Sanusi, that publicly exposed the heinous corruption that the FG of then were using CBN to carry out.

Moghalu should sit back and hope for a governorship seat.
All these pathetic stories and pseudo solution can only appease the wailers but it won't earn him a presidential ticket with a notable party.

Bros comprehension is key. You are really missing the point. When Sanusi left official rate of dollar was 150 naira to $1

White lie... It didn't cross $150 till Emiefele assumed office. So he was correct to say so.

To even think that Buhari inherited this same Emeifule from the corrupt regime and still kept him is nauseating.

The prelude to this situation is when the PDP'dollarized' the economy prior to 2015 general election. Then mopped up and hoard the dollars when it became obvious they are not returning to power. This situation led to fx scarcity, and with the dip in oil price the situation got out of hand.

Have you forgotten so soon how dollars was shared in APC primaries that brought in Buhari.

The only thing that they used to defend the naira back then was oil money which averaged $100pb, forget the rest, na useless grammar.

Oil price has been selling close to $100 for a long time now (above $70) still the naira is heading south.

Which other excuse Una go bring up again?

Are you mad?? I ask you again are you sure you are not mad??

I remember when the dollar was at N160 for a long while. I remember things were more stable than the calamity we have right now in Nigeria under the lifeless vegetable in Aso Rock. The dollar today is at 575, already on its way to 600. By 2023, it should have hit 1000 Naira.

So I ask you again, are you mad

The God that would punish you for defending ineptitude and corruption ennn!!

God bless you richly bro. A lot of people in this country are mad sincerely. Right now i just go straight to the point and call mad people mad when i see rubbish they wrote.

We enjoyed a stable life under Sanusi, difference of 70 naira for almost 6 years is very commendable. That's 150 naira to 220 naira per dollar is very commendable.

At that time, your 150k salary can buy you a lot of things. You are a big boy with 150k.

Why can't Buhari bring people like this into his government to assist him?
Your question is like trying to bring water from the rock. The mannequin will never bring this type of person into his government because he's a bigot and surrounded himself with dummies. Apart from Fashola and Amechi, just mention one or two of his ministers that are performing. They are all dead woods.

You have not told us how you and Sanusi ran down Oceanic, Intercontinental and other Southern banks and sold them at give away to your friends. God punish your generations.

Sanusi has been disgraced two times, his next humiliation will send him to his forefathers.

Your own humiliation is on the way.

You did nothing special ... Jonathan was just a more stable leader ...If you worked under a confused non performer like Buhari there is nothing you can do

Jonathan was a complete failure.

Oil was sold at well over $100 per barrel during Jonathan era. So, there was enough forex to pump into the market then.

“When people begin to perceive that the Central Bank has become too close to the government and by this case, too close to the Presidency, it erodes business confidence around the country, it erodes investors’ confidence. This is also part of the problem.

“We maintained our independence scrupulously; we did not allow politicians to give us instructions about how to run the bank,” he added.

"Is the current CBN Governor reading this?...When you are seen dinning with politcians publicly it erodes investors confidence, The current CBN Governor is very guilty of this, he is seen as a political puppet instead of a decision maker and the reason the Naira is falling". - Village People spokesperson.

Someone should tell this man to stop talking nonsense. Naira was relatively stable in the time of Jonathan because this country was making a lot of petrodollars. Why Buhari is struggling is that our population is growing at an alarming rate and price of crude oil in the international market has tanked significantly.

Nigeria overnight rate, naira falls on central bank action

December 9, 2014

The bank last month banned the sale of dollars to importers of telecom equipment, power generators and finished products at its foreign exchange auction.

https://www.yahoo.com/news/nigeria-overnight-rate-naira-falls-144316008.html

This clown said he stabilized the Naira when in fact the Nigeria was falling like rain under his watch up until 6 months before PMB.

What a lying nuisance,

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ On top of sitting like dummies while the Naira collapsed in late 2014, they totally banned the sale of dollars to importers of telecom equipment, power generators and finished products.

They crippled the economy and damaged our industries and manufacturing sector before handing over to PMB 6 months later..

I don't know why these lying and incompetent losers always try to rewrite history just to look good.

Modified Stupidity and and hypocrisy is when you choose Jonathan's $150 official rate to compare $570 black market under Buhari

Did you see the dates they were in office? They left in 2009. He's talking about the Central Bank and not the government.
Sometimes wear the cap of logic and reasoning. When investors can have access to their funds whenever they want, it increases investments. I can tell you have no business with exchange rates. I will happily pay even 250 to a dollar right now. Do you know how many people had to leave school or close their businesses because of the hike?
When we compare a bad government with another bad government I wonder how we will make way.
