I got high hopes and expectations for this visit. I do remember that the last COAS, made contact with the proforce CEO,but it was very obvious then that Buratai wasn't serious with making a deal with proforce.
I like this present COAS and the present crop of high ranking officers leading our military. Gen. Faruk approach, looks much more determined to bring the needed positive impact on our Army.

Year, i'm optimistic that we would see additional orders after this visit.

please go and make research most of your argument are baseless. A p 18 can be armed if the need come.you have no point in saying that a p 18 cannot be armed. If the nigeria navy want it to be armed they will go for general refit of the ship
the P18N can not be armed without a major refit.

"The Combatmate multi-purpose combat vehicle, developed by the Polish WB Group in cooperation with the South African company Bruisertech, had its premiere at the XXIX International Defense Industry Exhibition (MSPO) in Kielce, Poland.

The vehicle is based on the armored, mine-resistant Bruiser 212 and will be offered in a reconnaissance version for uniformed services and as a carrier for unmanned systems.

According to the WB Group, it is a modular platform, cost-effective, easily adaptable to the user's needs, equipped with solutions of the Polish group. The presented vehicle was integrated with the FONET vehicle communication system, the TOPAZ battlefield management system and the COMP @ N and PERAD radio communication systems.

The variant of the car presented in Kielce is also equipped with a stabilized, remotely controlled Arex ZSU-03 weapon station, equipped with a 12.7 mm large-caliber M2HB machine gun, four smoke grenade launchers and reusable Warmate-TL (Tube Launch) loitering ammunition launchers..."

That's why buying 3 of same is always advisable: 1 on patrol, 1 in maintenance and 1 for training/reserve.

I remember when this ship or the sister were been brought to Nigeria...right from China a certain female onboard would send me video update, I remember seeing one, in rough seas, that my heart cut, it was as if the ship was going into the water, with the waves beating up to the windscreen..... then pictures at different port visits, even before the arrival of the ship was known to the masses, I already knew.

I was offered a visit on it once but I declined, but I have stood beside it, while talking to someone onboard . It's a pretty good ship, it came with Chinese technicians, and they were still in Nigeria years after it arrived in Nigeria, now I wish I had gone onboard, I know the navy gave a tour to ex navy secondary school students and a boat ride too.

Nigerian Chief Of Army Staff Lt Gen Farouk Yahaya visit to Proforce Facility.

Wednesday 22/09/2021

Chief of Army Staff

The visit of Nigeria’s Chief of Army Staff to Proforce’s Facility on 22nd September 2021 is an endorsement of the Proforce Brand especially for the use of the Nigerian Armed Forces in the ongoing onslaught on criminals and criminal elements in the country. The Proforce’s Armoured vehicles are tailored-made for clients and are battle tested both in Nigeria, Chad and other parts of Africa.

During the visit, the COAS visited Proforce’s Showroom where he inspected some corporate armouring for organisations and individuals. He also visited the Maintenance, Repairs and Overhaul (MRO) where repairs of vehicles like Cobra 1 APC, Steyr APC, Navistar and Caiman MRAPs etc. The COAS was shown round the production floor and the elated COAS said the only way to go about Military hardware is indigenous. He also took a tour of the Helmets and Vests section of the company and Staff Quarters.

COAS
Parts of the presentation showcased to the Chief were the capabilities of Proforce in the Area of Drone and Trainer jets manufacturing, Military Communication Systems, Signal Intelligence, Open Source and Web Intelligence and other Naval Capabilities
.

Proforce Limited is a defence solution provider specialized in the manufacturing of Armoured Personnel Carriers (APCs), Mine Resistant Ambush Protected Vehicles (MRAPs), Armoured Patrol Boats, Ballistic Helmets & Vests, Armoured Civilian Vehicles and Cash-In-Transit.

The Nigerian Army through its investment arm, Nigerian Army Welfare Limited by Guarantee NAWLG, acquired 15% shareholding of Proforce Limited.

Hopefully Seaward Defence Boat 4 would be bigger. We'll have to wait and see what happens in November.

NDL is always busy, currently they are building SDB 3 in one dock, a House Boat in a second dock, while the larger 190 meters dock is almost permanently used for large ship maintenance and refit.

It brings up the question where would a larger, say 60 meters vessel be built.

The Cutters are available to close the gap.

Although I agree with your assessment.

Following the suspension of diplomatic relations, Algeria has just announced the closure of its airspace to all Moroccan aviation - civil and military.

About time those puffed-up Lilliputians in Morocco were put in their place.
