Investigation revealed that while the North-West is foreclosed in their permutation, the South-East, which produced the vice-presidential candidate, Peter Obi in the 2019 race, is equally likely to lose the slot to the South-South with Nyesom Wike and Ifeanyi Okowa, sitting governors of Rivers and Delta states, respectively as choices.

I have said it repeatedly here that even the meager VP slot will not be given to the south east in 2023 and this will change the voting pattern considerably.

Whatever the case is, I still think 2023 is for APC to loss. PDP just don’t have the right permutation to win the presidential election.

PDP marginalizing the SE.

The issue is SE won't even vote for a southern APC, they prefer a Northern PDP.

No matter whats, APC, PDP, North still wins

Yoruba produced PDP president of Nigeria.

Fulani produced PDP president of Nigeria

Ijaw produced PDP president of Nigeria

Igbo is to produce the next PDP president of Nigeria.

PDP must give its presidential ticket to Igbo. Natural justice demands that.
Justice begets success. Injustice begets failure.

In my opinion, voters turnout in the SE won’t be more than 30% in 2023 and with only 2 PDP governors in the region and no Igbo man on the ticket, I don’t see PDP getting more than 60% of the total vote cast in the region. It may even be less than that. So as it stand, SE won’t be contributing any significant votes to PDP in 2023.

Now this is the part I find most interesting, because it is more practical under the prevailing circumstances. I had predicted it earlier that the SE would most likely lose its leverage to even ask for the VP slot under the PDP, due to the failure and inability of its political elite to rein in and control the activities and growing influence of the ipob secessionist movement, whose influence keeps growing by the day. Apparently, the SE's loss would be Wike's (SS) gain.

No serious party would cede its VP position to such an unstable regional bloc. The way it is looking, ipob might actually ensure that elections do not hold in SE in 2023.

You are too deluded, bro. Why is your analysis so skewed? Even with the Northeast currently ravaged by boko haram extremism, how come, going by your analysis, did the FG still leave vital security offices in their hands such as COAS and National Security Adviser? You guys need to wean yourselves of this ugly bias against the Igbo. The main deal, let me tell you, despite all your shenanigans, the spirit of the Igbo have long left Nigeria. We are now at the stage where God hardened the heart of Phero in order to hurt him and his nation. The earlier the Igbo is allowed to leave the better for everyone. It pains me that there is a lot going down in the East today, with everyone as a possible victim of the ongoing collateral damage; but all over human history, freedom is not bequeathed but won. May God make the path of freedom easier for my people. May we together be bound firmer in our collective desire for a better deal for us and our children even in the face of intense hatred with which our brethren encompass us roundabout in this contraption called Nigeria. Amen.

Selfish ambition.

What happened to Mark as Partly chairman and Oyinlola and BoT chairman.

Selfish mission indeed.

Except mention of OBJ, all one could read from the article is that northern retired military officers and northern politicians are scheming to have a northerner fly the presidential flag of PDP in 2023 presidential election.

North starts to count the history of political leadership of Nigeria from 1999; but discounts the fact that north has led Nigeria for more than 75% of the number of years Nigeria has existed as an independent country.

With this arrangement or should I say permutations? Any Igbo man that partakes in the Nigerian election 2023 is a bastard and should be regarded as an outcast knowing fully well that igbos have been schemed out again as usual. We can't continue to vote in others year in year out with the others considering one of our own as good enough and you expect me to continue to queue in the hot sun to vote while I remain a second class citizen of my own country

Igbos, now is the time to give up on the Nigerian project because Nigeria has no plans to integrate us into her. Quit the illusion that an Igbo man will ever rule this country. It's not happening, not in this generation at least

I was an advocate for Igbo presidency 2023, A United Nigeria where justice strives but with this,my heart is broken to shreds and I don't think it can be sown again

Igbo leaders, shame on you all. The scheming out started the moment the Igbo leaders allowed python dance one and two. The orchestrators knowing fully well that igbos have sympathy for Biafra manipulated the Eastern leaders into queing with their evil plan of gazzetting IPOB as terrorist group, this singular act was where the Eastern governors and other leaders lost the people as well as the chance to produce the next president of this country. Now everything is lost ,I wonder what the likes of Umahi and other leaders will be feeling like now, knowing that the igbos are not even considered good enough for even vice president position,A supposed majority tribe ooo

The biggest fools in this polticial game seems to be Southerners in PDP that their Northern counterpart have managed to convince that they should produce another president of northern extraction after Buhari's 8 years in power. If Uche Secondus the outgoing PDP national Chairman was from the South, it is then appropriate that the next chairman should automatically come from the North. If the last presidential candidate of PDP was from the North (Atiku), it means that the next presidential candidate of PDP in 2023 must be from the South. But Southerners appear stupiid all times to their less educated Northern counterpart. Anyway once APC brings a Southerner in 2023, they will win automatically, no Southerner is ready for another 8 years of usually backward leadership of a Northerner, not after 8 years of harrowing experience of Buhari

Forget long story and face facts. Last election, how many votes did SE give Peter Obi and Atiku?
Currently, SE has only 2 PDP Governors in Abia and Enugu. Ebonyi and Imo are APC, Anambra is APGA. So, PDP is not even strong there.
Besides, Ipob is ensuring that the voting strength of the SE is watered down by boycotting elections.
So, face Biafra and forget Naija politics.

Lol. PDP will pick a candidate from the north east. So, how will they clear the north west? Even in the north east, core APC states like Bornu, Yobe, Gombe will never vote for PDP. In the north central, PDP can never win Kogi, Kwara and Niger. Even states like Benue, Nasarawa and Plateau may go to APC if the party fields a Christian from the south.

In the South, APC will clear the south west, south south will almost be divided once it is a northern Muslim against a southerner. 60-40 in favour of PDP at best. I have said enough about the south east already. So, where is PDP’s path to victory?

I feel your pain, bro, but I disagree that you blame your leaders again for this one. I know they've failed you on numerous grounds but you failed yourselves as regards the VP slot.

Your leaders strived to build the bridge you now want to ride on but your people made conscious effort to ensure it never happened. Your curse them day and night for extending even the slightest gestures to the north or other parts of the country. If they decamp and play it dirty, they lose your support no matter how hard they've worked to put the state in proper perspective.

It was crystal clear that the VP slot will not go to the east a long time ago. Think about it. If you're an investor, can you gamble your VP ticket on a region that doesn't vote and shows no interest, disdain the Nigerian project which can cause such party to lose the Northern support, can declare a sit at home on election day, etc.

The truth is, it's not as if PDP would not have loved to give the ticket to VP slot if it were an appointment but it's but a bad choice for election.
