He was once banker and should know about the effects of what he’s saying bt I doubt it makes any sense.

The System is more corrupt than the politicians. The System is built to corrupt even the decent minded ones and permit all manners if corruption to go unchecked. We need to fix our systems.

What of those men that carry as much as $40,000 cash and lost it airport. Bankers and so called bigmen are the real culprits.

Nonsense suggestion!
Stupid APC people.
They wrecked the economy now, they eye the small savings that I have made in my domiciliary account.

Please ASK Buhari: How sensible is it to borrow money that you know you dont have enough to pay back?

Small boy brain. Who told you that money can only be kept in banks. I will withdraw mine and infact buy more dollars and hide in my soakaway. Naira will definitely crash to 1000 to a dollar very fast

The problem with Nigeria is that Nigerians don’t feel any sense of loyalty to Nigeria
If not, why will we be saving money in a foreign currency to the detriment of our currency?
In other countries, you can’t just go and say you’re looking for dollars. To do what?
Eg if you’re in India and you want to do a transaction involving a dollar denominated price, the calculation is done at the point of payment and you’re debited in India’s currency.
How can everyone be saving in dollars and yet complaining that naira is falling!

People are only saving in dollars because the naira is falling, not the other way around. Although it's a bit of both.
The problem is we don't earn as much dollars as we need, the government is also borrowing a lot of foreign currency. All the policies led to this.
Go and research how the Lebanese government ruined their economy. Economies aren't run on sentiments.

Lol... I can open a US dollar account in UK and Canada, and those are the only 2 countries I needed to open US dollar account for my personal use.

To show how block headed this guy dey think is when you realise he is even saying for those people that have domiciliary account, they will have no access to thier funds for 12 months just to see if his idea would work.... I end with lol.

With my zero class in economics I know as far as the Nigerian economy is based on import import import and import with zero or minimal manufacturing exports etc. then there is nothing CBN can do, it's a free fall for Nigeria to the beyond the bottom of the pit.

You know nothing.

If you do this, not only will dollars hit 10,000, the Nigerian economy will enter into a negative phase that it will not recover for the next ten years as there will be an irreversible destruction of trust.

For those idiots saying that there are no foreign currency accounts abroad, are you people normal? Every big bank anywhere in the world allows you operate accounts in the major currencies of the world. It's just that due to the inability of the Naira to hold value over long periods of time, more and more Nigerians have opened domiciliary accounts to keep foreign currencies as a hedge.

How him go come up with this most utter nonsense for a policy?

Our current banking requires that you have a dormicilliary account for foreign inward/outward remittance.

If them send you money from abroad, e go enter dormicilliary account.

If you wan send money abroad, you must put the foreign currency for dormicilliary account then fill form fir where the money dey go.
