I guess this is 2AR engine, make sure the crankshaft is in good condition before replacing the con rods, change the oil filter too.

Next is to change the bent connecting rods and put the engine back in other.

Sometimes in February my Honda Accord DC overheated, cos Kazeem removed the thermostat and tampered with the engine fan wiring: the rings fried, a connecting rod bent and some bearings damaged.
Most Mechs told me to change engine including our own Gazzuz.
Buh thank goodness, an Engineer from my workplace fixed it.
I bought a premium ring pair and a connecting rod and volla!

My Honda is driving better than before, some mech told me it will go bad after 3 months, it's October already and the car is giving me joy.

I typed all this cos the guy that fixed it told me the same thing you said "All engines can be fixed"

He said he's ringed a countless vehicles that runs good after six years.
Instead of spending 200k on engine, I spent 25k only on everything including workmanship.

No way to separate the transmission from the engine, so we had to drop the two.

Love to see Auto shops analyze faults this way.

Keep it up man.

Got annex in Lagos?

Pls, which one is spark plugs in the car?

sultaan:
The flooding didn't do the damage it was the person that started the car who caused it.

When your car is flooded, remove spark plugs and start it a couple of time to get rid of the water

He meant when you removed spark plug from the spark plug well, it will allow the water to blow out because water can’t compress inside the combustion chamber and cause serious damage like this at high RPM
Ok

Our dear Gazzuz also told me to change engine and radiator of my 09 accord gave me a bill of N652k. I was depressed.
But thanks to my awesome technician he fixed everything for less than N100k and car drives smooth and better.

All engines can be fixed. You just need a professional hand.

If you ever export that's over 8M, you'll realise how greedy most Nigerian dealers (Agents! I don't consider them dealers) are.

Like how do you want to make 3M on a car that you did not put money in

HOW

Lmao, seriously forget this over hyped mechanics in nairaland like gazzuzz and co. that claim to be professionals. They're lot's of great experienced mechanics everywhere who aren't proud and claim to be professional mechanics like those guys above, but does great jobs far better.

For what?

You want to fix your ac but you don't want to spend. You gave the olodo that is cheap who knows nothing. You are to blame not him. Buy new compressor and find someone who can actually fix the AC

Passed through a similar flood after I left my mechanics workshop. The 2 roads which was the way out was heavily flooded. After the first outlet almost submerged a Lincoln 4x4, I took the other way in my Volvo. Cars parked on both roads to wait for the flood to reduce. Despite the flood almost reaching my window, I drove slowly out and people from other Toyota/other cars were just peeping at me...below is the Volvo I used that day.

NB: Volvo is very strong. I come in Peace. grin grin grin tongue
