We can can still score them up to four goals with that same tactic. All it takes is a little more composure and seriousness in attack.

For ur mind, u don say sensible thing! Clap for urself! How many passes came from the midfield? If i were to be the coach of any team, i will beat ur super chicken anyday any time!

I will want amoo to be introduced into the super eagles gradually like oshimen was introduced bit by bit prior Ighalo retired.
The need for No. 10 now is massive that wil put too mucb pressure on the kid but for an EPL player not too much pressure he is already used to it
Will prefer AMOO to be given call ups to come train with this guys from time to time like Morocco did with the chelsea academy goalie to serve as motivation and gradual intro

Central African Republic head coach Raoul Savoy is delighted with his side’s historic victory over the Super Eagles in FIFA World Cup qualifiers on Thursday.

The Wild Beats stunned the three-time African champions at home in a matchday encounter at the Teslim Balogun Stadium.

A 91st-minute goal from Karl Namnganda, substitute gave the tiny African their first win of the qualifying campaign and handed Nigeria their first defeat in the process.

In his post-match presser, Raoul Savoy explained how his boys managed to get the unexpected result.

“We stood by them and know that if we cut them off and don’t allow them to be quick then we’ve got a chance. It’s a very great result for us.

I really don't understand your point. Are you saying you are yet to watch a meaningful game from a team that plays negatively or are you saying you are yet to watch an offensive team play meaningfully when the opposing team is playing negatively?

In either respect, there are loads of team that packed buses against Spain and Spain put up some brilliant performances against them.

I have never been a fan of negative game so o can not site instances where a negative team played well.

How many passes came from the 10 role or direct shots from the midfield

We talk about Iwobi been missed reason because of his passes upfront and weak shots that some times get into the back of the net

Nigeria 0-1 CAR: 2 Errors Gernot Rohr Committed Against The Central African Republic

Super Eagles of Nigeria suffered their first defeat in their 2022 World Cup Qualifying campaign against the Central African Republic this evening.

The three times African champions lost 1-0 in the match that was played at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos.

Karl Namganda scored the only goal of the game in the 90th minutetime to seal the win for the Central African Republic

The victory also ended Nigeria's unbeaten run in the qualification stage of the qualifiers.

Meanwhile we would be looking at three mistakes the Technical Adviser of the Super Eagles committed that resulted in the defeat against the low rated side.

1. Inability to read his opponent tactics: from what we have seen in the game, it appears the coach didn't have a clear understanding of the Central African Republic side. Perhaps he might have thought his team would have the game easy.

2. Late introduction of Ahmed Musa: The team's captain was introduced into the game less than 20 before before the end of the match. Musa came on to replace Joe Aribo who was ineffective at the front. Immediately Musa came on board, we saw how he caused a lot of troubles for the Central African Republic defense. Early introduction of Musa would have changed the story.

Why Gernot Rohr Should Have Chosen His Words Carefully After Super Eagles Loss To The Wild Beast

To whom much is given, much is also expected in return. After losing to the wild Beast of Central African Republic, the Super Eagles Gaffer was caught putting blames on some situations that were responsible for Nigeria's loss in the FIFA 2022 World Cup qualifier, in his post match interview.

In an interview with Goal, the German tactician revealed that the Super Eagles Team missed Alex Iwobi's creativity and Wilfred Ndidi's Midfield magic. He stressed that, the absence of these key Players was no doubt part of what contributed to the loss of the vibrant Eagles, that wasted many chances in front of the wild beast's goal area.

No matter how bad a Team performed, the Manager mustn't attribute or lay claims against or to favour any Player on duty or absent during the match in question. Part of Rohr's responsibility was to put in place defenders that could pin down a moving counter attack when his Team was on an attacking spree against the opponent but he has shown in his words that,those he put in Iwobi and Ndidi's positions were there because he never had any CHOICE, which is against his duty of sourcing for the right legs in different departments of the Team.

No Barcelona's coach has been caught directly, saying that they lost because Messi was not on the field and there was never a time any Real Madrid or Juventus' manager openly apportioned blames on the circumstance that stopped Ronaldo from featuring in the team's loss, they rather do proper analysis or avoid the press. Reasons why we found it difficult against Central African Republic

We played to their strategic strength.
Their plan was to keep it compact at the back and cut off our comfort on the ball on the middle.

Unfortunately, Rhor set up the team to play a direct pattern which favored their strategy. The direct pattern meant we committed more players forward, with few players to help build.

What this meant is that our direct play was to their brick wall and when they pressed the middle, we had few players for coordinated build up play.

Advice for Aribo.

He is the eyes of the midfield and his primary duty is to dictate play, not break down opposition midfield

There was a big miscommunication between Aribo and Onyeka bad I hope in the coming games, he sorts it out. Yes he is good running at the opposition defence and creating passing lines for the defenders and defensive midfielder.

What us me is all the talent if we are not exploiting opposition gaps. There were times we could have switched play to run down a free flank but we opted to go at tighter sections.

Aribo should work with Onyeka to create room for fluid buildup, watch out for free sections and quickly transition play towards the gaps.

He needs to make it a big part of his game going forward. Especially when they are just two Manning the midfield.

You're right. That's the point I was trying to make earlier that we sort of become agitated when facing an African team that came to defend. Instead of calming down to spot the gaps, we become too eager to score and make very wrong decisions when attacking. In spite of their defending, so many more chances would have been created had we made some better passing decisions.

Playing an offensive setup doesn't mean neglecting the midfield control, especially when you are up against a compact side that are pressing efficiently with some forward players.

We got it tactically wrong and need to sort that out fast.
