I do tell him whatever enters into my hand but I don't know his and I don't even care or bother myself.

Why not? My wife knows every deduction and increment in my salary monthly. I sometimes show her my payslip when sent by mail after payment and I also know her's

You did not act wrongly as far as I'm concerned

From my perspective:
IF she's Hardworking I will.
IF she's a LEECH, I will never never do such.

Last salary increase I got was 30k. I used it whole to increase her monthly allowance. Didn't tell her but she just saw it. Never asked me what the increase was but just thanked me and continued. We live in different cities and she maintains the house on her own. She does that well.
