The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has banned the rearing and consumption of cows in the South-East region.

IPOB Head of Directorate of State (DOS), Mazi Chika Edoziem, disclosed this in a statement on Saturday.

Edoziem, however, said the ban would take complete effect in six months.

He added that only local breed would henceforth “be consumed and used for all ceremonies in Biafraland.”

According to him, “from that date, no more Fulani cows shall be allowed into Biafraland for any reason, not for burials, title taking, weddings, etc.”

He said the ban followed constant attacks on their people by suspected Fulani herdsmen, resulting in killing, raping of their women and other forms of assaults.

This comes after the 17 Southern governors led by Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo state met in Lagos on July 5, 2021, and “set a timeline for the promulgation of the anti-open grazing law in all member states”.

As the south east governors has lost touch totally with the people, IPOB has continued to be the only intelligent voice of reason.

About 80 % of all crimes that has happened in the south east is as a result of herdsmen roaming the forests with cows. They kill, rape and destroy communities because they have the authorities turning a blind eye to their wanton destruction.

IPOB are the only organisation in the south who has been providing sensible directions since the elected representatives are all incapacitated.

Same as ban on open grazing which is achaic and very destructive.. cows must be reared in ranches,not on people's maize and yam farms




99.9 percent of all the security challenges in all 6 geopolitical regions of the country is directly or indirectly linked to these itenerant and very belligerent herdsmen.. almost every single local govt in the country now has one form of vigilante or the other. Their main objective?keeping watch for these killer herders..

But it would appear as a really non serious issue because the word Igbo hasn't been factored in all of these grin

This order is telling us Igbos that:
1. we cannot keep or breed our own cows
2. We can not eat beef
Already by their actions they have told us :
* We cannot have police stations or law and order
* We cannot go about our legitimate business on Mondays
* We cannot participate in elections.
Don't be surprised if tomorrow they ban us from buying fuel (I am not even joking).

IP0B are not working for us they are using fake Biafra agitation as an excuse to crash our economy and cause huge number of deaths that would herd us all into IDP camps were you would be forcefully injected with the depopulation vaxcine.

IPOB is working for globalist depopulation agenda for our region. Please start prepping dig wells and secure water sources and secure your food. All regions of Nigeria will be affected so start getting ready to return to your villages.

If this is true, then these may be tilting towards becoming low budget Talibans.

On the flip side, it may be an opportunity for the indigenous cattle rearers to grow.

After all Nigeria banned importation of rice to help local rice farmers flourish.

Common sense is not common. It is only in Nigeria I have seen people think with their anus. How does banning of cow solve the situation on ground? I thought IPOB would go on intensive breeding of cow so as to stop Fulani Monopoly. Shmm. I hate rubbish

I hope they tell their people from traveling out of the country using Nigerian green passport.

After all, that passport shows you're a Nigerian and I hope they instruct all business men and women going abroad for businesses to boycott use of Nigerian passport for the one IPOB would give them. Otherwise, this is hypocrisy
