Many girls have value across Africa. I see a lot of brilliant educated girls and women around.

trust me, if a 9 yrs old would get a wife he'd be forcefully married off. Women only marry a man who can slave for them till he die, a 9 yrs old boy is useless to women. Ask yourself what happens to the boys in the family where 9 years old girls are married off, the boys are left on the streets, they either follow a trailer down south to beg, scavenge metal or are recruited by Boko Haram.
Go and stand at the gate of any university in Nigeria (except science only institutions) and see if 65% of the students that will walk past you won't be girls. Who is denying girls education?

don't even go there, less than 4% of Nigerians do the by force marriage, intact women are allowed to find their spouse themselves, pressure only comes to them when they are in their 30's and not married.

Also if we do equal employment opportunities, ladies will be at the loosing ends
