I think Gruden knew His time was up when the first batch of email got leaked. I mean pick a struggle. You can't be Racist,Homophobic and Sexist all at the same time. Urban Meyer will probably send Him a box of France's finest champagne seeing that He has taken all of the heat of Him this week.

I will be shocked if U. Meyer is still coach by Sunday

Jon Gruden was all flash no substance won the SB with Tony Dungy's squad and did zilch since but trade a DPOY in his prime.

And Lamar Jackson. Sheesh! Now I detest the Baltimore Ratbirds and every thing they stand for but woe betide em if they don't pay Lamar

Finally!! Brooklyn grew a pair. I say they take it one step further and give Kyrie a hard deadline. Show up at so so date or forget about the season.

Props to Nash for playing the right amount of politics so that he does not look like the bad guy should Kyrie return. I actually feel sorry for Kyrie - a fool that doesnt know hes a fool. Maybe a hard stance will wake this guy up. But I think a trade might be in order. Trade him far away, where all the funny influences cant reach him.

Fame is hard!

Right and Alt right folks now see him as a social justice icon. Ohh the irony!! when an Uncle Tom like Jason Whitlock starts comparing you to Ali, that is cause for pause to reevaluate everything you're doing.

I guarantee you if Brooklyn thought they would get anything for Kyrie they would move him yesterday. They know he would probably retire. Brooklyn's focus should be on keeping KD and Harden and surrounding pieces that are reliable and complementary. With those 2 you don't need an ALL-NBA caliber 3rd banana

A big life lesson to KD. After seeing how Kyrie moved with Lebron. Its time for his own breakfast

Chai. The man enter everybody. Gay, Black, Women, Player safety, Commish, VP then who is President now. Mad ting

What is ironic is he had an openly gay player on his roster. Anyway he was too mid a coach for his shenanigans to be put up with. Personally I don't trip over these things because no amount of campaign, sack or cancelling will change most of these guys at their core.

Sorry but there were no 3 phase clinical trials done for polio. You can go online and check the timeline for polio vaccine development to confirm.

As for Kyrie and the Nets, they should trade him. He is of no value to them not training and not playing so the argument about looking for adequate pieces to augment a trade is asinine. As for those celebrating this laughable and political move by the Nets, let me just remind you that this very same Kyrie was playing for the same team and with the same players just a few months ago whilst still unjabbed. This same player played with other Nets players who were presumably at the time unjabbed (he was not spreading a disease then). But somehow, just a few months after, that same player is persona non grata even though the other players have taken something that makes them protected against Kyrie (if he ever gets the disease). But this is about... science!!! grin The good thing is, tomorrow is pregnant.

I keep telling guys to stop looking at names. There is only one rock and LBJ is not a magician. I want to see what the Lakers look like defensively come season start. Defense is their hope, because offensively, I can name 3, 4 teams in the west alone far better than they are. As far as I am concerned, Lakers have a big 2. I dont consider WB and Melo as legit championship threats. They have to prove me wrong.
I don't know if I'm overreacting sha, as it's just preseason. But I don't like what I've seen so far. Now we already have 2 injuries going into the season.

Make I just give the team one month first. I'll make a definite conclusion after that.

This lakers team has the feel of the Boston Celtics when Garnett and Ray Allen joined Pierce. Celtics picked up veteran swingmen like Posey and just filled the bench with players who used to be good, but now a little older. Lots of one year rentals and almost retiring players looking for a ring.

If this Lakers team develops that same type of chemistry and can play lockdown defense for 15 minutes most nights, they have a good shot of OGing the younger teams. This is going to be real tricky.

You implied that the polio vaccine underwent more extensive trials than the covid vaccine. A look at both vaccine development process clearly shows that the covid vaccine had the same trial procedure, the only part jumped was animal trials which was justified by the sole purpose that the entire research used for the covid-19 vaccine was based on the research used on another Corona type virus the SARS-CoV.

Simmons has the mentality that is probably the worst kind for a pro athlete. He does just enough to earn his checks and the competitor in him is possibly non existent. IMHO he only came back because the sixers kept the money and he actually experienced missing the checks first hand

It did and you do not know what you are talking about. I have been hesitant to derail and I will thread the path of caution even as I engage this but after the highlighted portion, I just needed to say some things. First, I don't even know if you know what clinical trials are and why any trial should be allowed to progress beyond a particular phase, but in drug or vaccine development programs, you do not fail forward. That is, if you fail at a stage, you are not allowed to move into another stage except politics, not true science, is involved. Besides, what polio vaccine development program are you referring to? You do know that before Jonas Salk's began in 1955, at least 2 other programs were already halted from 1940 or so because of the failures experienced in the Chimpanzees? From the point that polio vaccine development begun to when it was finally approved how many years do you think it took? If you are bold, post it here and juxtapose it with the so-called vaccine for COVID19. Remind me of the point in the polio vaccine story where people had to pick between their jobs or taking it? Were the 1.8 million participants not volunteers? How many deaths were needed before even Jonas' program was halted? The virus isolation procedure that Enders used (which Jonas' also used and improved upon) have you found one for Sars-Cov2? Can any scientist swear on his credentials that this Sars-Cov2 has been extracted and purified? The flimsily fake one they tried to present, did it prove reproducible? Was it not tossed out as a fraud? Did you say animal trials were skipped? Not that all the humanized mice and rhesus monkeys died yet they proceeded hurriedly to the next step? How many years in between did all these happen? What studies have you seen that will adequately capture what the long term side effects of these jabs will do say in 5 years? 10 years? Could the "FDA" not answer these questions concerning the polio vaccine in 1980 before the WHO recommended worldwide vaccination against polio? Wait, they skipped animal trials based on Sars-Cov1 but kept lying ab initio that Sars-Cov2 was novel? Should the FDA also have approved skipping of animal trials for polio type 2 because of the success of polio 1 vaccine development program? If Sars-Cov2 is as similar to Sars-Cov1 as to supposedly justify skipping of animal trials, then why does the man who claimed human to human transmission was inevident for Sars-Cov2 still have a job when Sars-Cov1 was declared transmissible via human to human contact? Please, I just wanted to be a voice of reasoning for Kyrie. This thread is about basketball and I want to leave it that way.

This information is wrong is so many ways! So many ways….I beg you in the name of whatever you believe in. 1953 and 2020 are decades apart.. The process of medical research in 1953 and now are worlds apart, I can’t even begin to mention.AND YES, YOU ABSOLUTELY CAN FAIL FORWARD, THAT IS WHY IT IS CALLED RESEARCH / DEVELOPMENT. Let me also state that I may understand what you mean by not failing forward because of the risks and consequences. Hopefully you don’t mis-construe me.

Baba, you started out very very well.. Infact, I was going to write you a kudos but you have gradually deviated into dangerous misinformation which has led to the killing of millions around me. I have seen families use misinformation like you have been threading as basis to not to get vaccinated until one of them comes down with the virus and is begging at the point of death. I have seen the hearts of children shattered with no reprieve but loads of financial debts incurred from the ignorance and arm chair knowledge.

If you follow my posts closely, it shouldn’t take you too long to discover that I am an ardent defender of Kyrie on this thread. Infact, in this case, I somewhat support him because like you said before deviating, it is his absolute right to refuse the vaccine, however, unlike what you are parading, he understands this is not a case of him being singled out. Let me also clarify that Kyrie has not openly condemned the vaccine, neither has he said he would not take the vaccine. KYRIE IS NOT ANTI VACCINE OR ANTI SCIENCE! LET US ALL BE GUIDED! His refusal is primarily in support of those who are being mandated and losing their source of living because of the mandates. IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH HIS FAITH…. HE BELIEVES HE FIGHTING A JUST CAUSE FOR OTHERS, NOT BECAUSE HE DOES NOT BELIEVE IN SCIENCE OR THR VACCINE.

I always encourage people to speaks with their doctors first before making any decision. You are more than welcome to speak with more than one but be very fair and open minded in all your conversations with your health professional. Please and please, make sure you are speaking with a true health professional and not reading google, Facebook, Instagram or E-books. Be careful about what you read and what you take as fact.

Is there politics in research? Absolutely! Without politics and money there will be no research. The first thing you learn is RESEARCH IS INCREDIBLY EXPENSIVE! However, to the degree with you are parading a lot of these arm chair narrative is quite dangerous and false. I blame the government for some of these misinformation because they failed to be as open as possible when research started. The fear of vaccines have always existed, even before COVID-19, it is natural and the government and pharmaceutical companies and failed in addressing some on the legitimate concerns, not the ones built on conspiracy. People have a right to question what goes into their body, this not the 1950’s but they should also be careful with what information they take as fact when refusing.

I don’t intend to engage anyone in any uncivilized and name calling debates. I respect your opinion because I agree with how you started but curb the misinformation…This is a public health crisis and will leave it at that.

If you believe in Kyrie's cause, good for you. Do well to make posts supporting him and if you believe in prayer, pray for him as well. As for this my post, there is ABSOLUTELY nothing I have said that is misinformation. If anything, time has proven all those who called people names as the liars whose only intent was to mislead the public. When they publicly redefine what "fully vaccinated" means in the US and call the double jabbed NBA players who will refuse the 3rd jab antivaxxers, may be, just may be, some people will then realize the lies they have been fed. Till then, back to basketball only matters. I won't be responding to any questions or posts unrelated to purely basketball.

Re: The NBA Begins by birdman(m): 12:09pm On Oct 14, 2021
People talking about their rights to not take the vaccine, except when they actually get sick as a dog, these same people have no problem driving to the hospital and insisting already overworked nurses treat them. We currently have people dying of treatable issues because the emergency wards are already filled with covid patients, and surgeries are being postponed. Even cancer treatments schedules are now messed up! Social and mental help is now scarce as resources are diverted to covid problems. Even law enforcement are feeling it as murder rates double - all the social work that would normally reduce mental breakdowns is limited.

But no, I wont walk down the road to take a free vaccine, because... Kyrie deserves every bit of crap he gets for this nonsense. He said he is thinking of workers that are being forced to vaxx. What of the nurses with mental breakdowns? The diabetic that needs surgery but dies before he can get one because there is no space. The millions of other people who cant get good healthcare. What of those guys?

Knowledge without wisdom is dangerous!
Re: The NBA Begins by Android17: 7:09pm On Oct 14, 2021
I said I won't say anything again but I just want to say Kyrie is now my favourite player in the NBA. I just read that the Nets offered him a chance to take regular tests before games and he refused - that is ballsy. I would not have refused that option. The man is fully committed to his convictions and I will always root for such a player whether I agree with him or not. I pray he goes to a team that will let him play and I will also be praying that he wins an MVP and finals MVP to go with another ring. He has heart and he deserves to succeed. As for other wise people who can smell a rat - 70K healthcare workers were fired in NYC for not taking a jab during a "pandemic". If anyone could think, they should find out how in one breath someone can complain about health institutions being overwhelmed (hoax) and in another breath, you fire the workforce that would have prevented you from being overwhelmed. Like someone on the Chelsea thread said, I laugh in new world order. Don't forget brethren, that these same healthcare workers were called heroes because they worked during the heat of the crisis last year when there was no jab available. Now they are selfish because they won't take a "free" jab. But this is about science!!!!

So Kyrie has said he isn't anti-vax and needs time to process all that is going on. It went from I'm skipping the VAX due to religious reasons (whether rumours or true), to I'm a voice to the voiceless, to I'm not anti-vax and need time. I see what he's trying to do here. He's wants our sympathy but doesn't want to own up for all the noise he has caused in the past few weeks. Las las baba go collect the vaccine then come out and say there was no doubt in his mind he was going to take the vax, that he just needed time.

In case you were referring to me, I know nurses and doctors. So this is not some theoretical research I am doing on the internet. One of your antivaxxers even challenged me on that. So I sent him the URLs to several states EMS capacity indicators (most states track emergency room capacity in real-time and post it online in Yankee). He verified I was telling the truth, but did that change his stance? Of course not grin. He just moved on to another "research" he had discovered. As usual, you guys will ignore any evidence that doesnt support what you want, and just go find "research" that supports what you want to hear. Carry the h*ll on grin

What I am seeing with most antivaxxers, when you refute their theories with hard facts and numbers is that they shift the argument to something else. To be able to say gee, I am wrong is nearly impossible. Because they would have to admit they have been bamboozeld into believing nonsense. My own pity is for the folks adopting his stance outside without the financial wherewithal to do so. I hope Kyrie puts them on his payroll
