Well my parents have just a son and a daughter and have made it explicitly clear who gets what in terms of their various properties when they die. It's mostly equal, but their first grandson (from their son) gets a property and trust too.

Didn't your father leave a will? In the absence of a will, let the property remain in your dad's name, which means it's for both the wives and children.

Register an association.

Eg Eleken Descendants Association and have the documents of the property registered in that name

Never you guys allow him to do that.if his intentions are clear he would have share your fathers property so that u and siblings will have yours. If you guys allow him to do that,is as if he owns everything. Let him call for a meeting and every of ur father's property will be divided into two. This advice is strange. How can two women not be legally married to a man?
According to English law, yes but according to the customs and tradition of our native laws, a man can marry more than one wife and it is legal.

The court recognizes the marriage of a man to more then one woman as long as they were all done according to the native law and custom of his place.

Now, what can be done in this situation?
The name of the two heads of family can be in the said document.

If you are the first son of your mom, insist that his name and yours be on the survey document and all other subsequent documents

Don't low him to do that. What you all should do is register a company, then assign shares in that company to each member of that family. After that do a family deed of transfer where everyone will sign to transfer ownership of the land to the company all of you have shares in. That way, it is the company that owns the land, meaning nobody can sell the land behind anyone's back, to even sell the land, you have to sell the company to the buyer, transferring all shares to the buyer.

I will advice you not to let that happen. That gives him a right to change the ownership of the land to him in the ministry of lands. You know this means that the land is now his and his children's legally. Leave it in your father's name, or make sure he includes your names in there.

hmm let the documents bear your dad name or you guys should sell it and share the money. Let me tell you. Similar thing happens in my family house last time, we are three men, my mum is different, my two other brothers are my senior, I'm a surveyor, the other two knew nothing about land. I did the survey plan, put my dad names, when we went for c of o, there two spaces for next of kin, instead of me and my eldest brother which is the tradition in my area, I told them to put their names instead because I discovered they are desperate for it. As it stands, to me I don't need it. Family land is always deathly, let him put his name if he wants so you and your siblings can live longer. Since I let it go for them, I have since bought 4 plots in ABUJA, God open ways me somehow. Let your mum not to get involve, let the plot be for them if they don't want you and your siblings to partake.

The law in Nigeria recognizes every wife married under native law and custom. Being a 'legal wife' only saves you from mistresses, not from wives married via recognized customs and traditions simply because you married at the registry.

Don't you have sisters from your mother or step mum? They don't matter abi? If you have sisters and you don't see anything wrong in excluding them from the property, them you shouldn't be too upset that your older brother wants to exclude you from same property.
