Hello guys, I have been trying to compare between CENTENNIAL COLLEGE vs CONESTOGA College for a 2-year Post Graduate Degree.

But not too much available information on Youtube and Google especially from Nigerian students.

Guys, please help me with a decision - Nigeria community, School-life-work balance, PR support, etc.

Thanks

Hi Titan, do you have access to your GC key? 5 months is way longer than the average processing time, if you have access to your GC key, you can see the actual position of Ur application, it is always better to book for medical upfront, if you haven't do so now. Once you have your done your medicals you can start sending emails to IRCC every day to remind them to finalize your application.

I don't have access to my GCkey but I have my unique client identifier (UCI) and also my application number which was sent to me by my agent as a screenshot from my logins. Can the hospital update my result with all these details if I can't access my GCkey?. I don't want to let the agent know about my plan of going for my medicals because he may discourage me from going for the medical and wait until IRCC says otherwise which is not helping me at the moment.

If anyone here could direct you on how to open a new gckey and link your details to it. That will be great

Let me also quickly add this.

As Admin Officer in the establishment , my job duty have lots of HR roles and I signed all company corespondents related to staff.

I think it would not be proper for me to sign my document emanating from the company. Can office Secretary Sign?

Hi Perfect,

Starting with this issue, if a document is going to be issued from your company that relates to you then it won't be proper for you to sign, another officer can execute it for you.

For the other questions you posed
1. I do not know how you arrived at the poor rating you ascribed to Lambton college, however, from available records, Lambton college had the 2nd highest number study visas issued to colleges behind CDI college in 2020. That being said it is as if you are preparing your mind for a denial hence your reference to the school policy to not defer admission, aren't hoping to get your SP? What you can do if you decide to go ahead with Lambton is to apply for SP very early, like 6 months before your programme start date so that you can get your decision on time, if it turns out bad you can request for a refund, at least the school does refunds.
2. The NBCC offer is only for one year, if you do ahead with this and succeed with the SP, it means you will most likely get 1 year PGWP after your programme, there is no province that gets you a PR faster, however, some provinces have higher employment opportunities than some. That is why IRCC do rural pathways to encourage people to move to the rural provinces
3. If you decide to pursue UNB, you have to check when their admission is open and when it will close, you can use your work experience to cover for the 2:2 grade but your have to have a convincing letter of intent that can sway the admission office to give you the admission, you have to be ready to do some extra work to get the admission( write letter of intent stating that you need MBA to understand overall business models that you can apply to your work and that you are on the verge of getting promotion to a high post hence you need the MBA etc) and then start your SP application.

In all, consider which option will give you peace of mind before deciding which to choose.

All the best.

Pay transmission fee to the Canada logistics account. Include the reciept of payment into the documents you're sending to VAC. So you're to pay it before enclosing all documents in the DHL envelope. This payment is if you're sending to were you didn't do your biometrics. Just left DHL some mins ago and it was a smooth process.

Hi Ketima, I am trying to get more clarification as the information on the VFS website about submission is sort of ambiguous. Are you saying that If Mr A does his biometrics in Abuja and is sending his passport to be stamped, apart from the fee below there is nothing else to be paid to VFS Global?

You can do the medicals with your UCI and Application no, once you do it send the e-medical slip via webform and emails, you do not need the GCkey to do that it is just that when they update your profile with the medicals you will not see it except the agent. Please quickly book the medical, as at today Qlife earliest date is Dec 6th, while IOM earliest date is Dec 29th for their Lagos branches.

So long as they can verify the statements if they are contacted you are good to go, the reason why most people use commercial banks is the integrity they give to the documents and the fact that you can do my bank statement that will provide a code that the VO can use to log in and check the statement.

Both schools are in Ontario, so they might have the same community of Nigerians, but you can put their names on the search bar here and you will get people who have done something with the schools and reach out to the individuals directly and ask your questions.

Gurus please assist as this is urgent

I believe you can apply, but you have to look for things to show home ties to Nigeria, I do not know if your siblings and mum are in the US with your Dad, if they are then you can not use them, so you have to use either your work, your social clubs and landed properties as home ties.

If you did your Biometrics in Abuja and you want to send your passport to Abuja for stamping, you won't pay the 8920 transmission fee. But if you did Biometrics in Abuja and want to send your passport to Lagos, then you will pay transmission fee. Vise versa.

Now for delivery fee. If you're to use DHL or UPS as the case maybe, we are adviced to pay for 2-way. That is, DHL or UPS will deliver your passport to your choice place of stamping, when is is stamped, they will bring it back to your doorstep ( the address you put when sending the passport for stamping). Now if you do one way to VAC office, once DHL or UPS sends it to VAC, their job is done. Now when VAC have stamped your passport, that figure you're seeing there is what you will pay for them to send it back to you. I stand to be corrected though. Which is costlier than what DHL and UPS charge. DHL charged me 6400 for 1-way, so I paid 12,800 for 2 way, which is far below VAC 1-way returning of your passport after stamping.

Hope is clear now.

The gurus will throw more light on it.

Thank you BOB. I'll do just that but few questions. How's webform raised?
The E-medical is it sent to me from the hospital to my Gmail account, WhatsApp? What means. I thought the hospital send the medical results straight to IRCC when you provide your application details after or before medical test.

The emedical slip is a hard copy that will be given to you after the medicals, The hospital will also send the result to IRCC, the slip given to you is like a receipt that you have done the exams, the results aren't there, that will be sent to IRCC by the clinic, to raise the webform just google it and you will see it.

LET ME SHARE WITH YOU THE NEW METHOD OF RELOCATING TO CANADA THAT ONLY FEW NIGERIANS KNOW ABOUT

After a thorough research on the most affordable method of relocating to Canada.

I found out that people with enough money, high education/qualification background, and high IELTS score usually follow the EXPRESS ENTRY PROGRAM route .......whose cost break-down is shown in the image.

But I found this too costly.

Imagine! After all of these, you will need PROOF OF FUND – to show you are financially buoyant enough to take care of yourself in Canada for 3 to 6 months.

Also, you will still need to pay an agent between 1-1.5 million Naira.

Imagine! Agent will even charge more than the whole expenses.

Agent charge more than what you need for proof of fund, and the whole expenses breakdown.

Perhaps he (agent) may not still give you full attention needed.. because he works with many clients. In fact, some agents have not traveled oversea before smiley

I found all of this too costly and stressful.

So I had to contact a friend in CANADA that just relocated.

He told me that he found it too costly too unless one has much money to throw around.

So he said he had to look for an affordable method that require no agent fee, with low proof of fund and low IELTS score, etc.

This is the method he later used. And he shared this newly discovered method with me.

I found it VERY AMAZING and helpful! And I would like to share it with you.

Thanks for your response. Yes it's a cooperative group that registered it's account at Access bank in which I also have access to it as one of the signatory, so am thinking whether I can use it as sponsor since it's a group account, won't it look strange?

Bayelsa and Niger states issues Int'l passports within 3-4hrs of the application. Always target the least traveling states.

It is well with us all NLders.

Ketima:

Really passport issuance in Nigeria na who you know. I believe there is always passport available but na survival of the highest bidder ( who pays highest) and who you know it the system. I stand to be corrected though.
