This so-called consultant is one of them and he doesn't understand the extent of moral decadence in leadership in Nigeria. The political parties gangs and the gang members play by the gang rules, irrespective of the regions they come from. IPOB on the hand, may be becoming an opportunistic gang that wants to take advantage of the chaos to lord over the people. If they really want to change things, let them channel their energy, zeal and manpower into grassroot politics, make sure elections are free and fair and get their "conscientious" candidates into local public offices to start the fundamental change from there without excessive violence and unnecessary loss of lives.

That means you don't have right to question the opinion of anyone who demands that an Igbo extraction should be the president if Tinubu too can be a president. It's either you admit that they also have the right or shut the Bleep off. By the way your leaders know that Igbos are the cog in the wheel come 2023. Feature a Yoruba man and see how the politics will play out. It will be quite interesting. We shall come back to this post when the politicking starts

Of course, an Igbo candidate has 100% right to be president. No where have i ever said otherwise.

ANY citizen irrespective of his ethnic background has the inalienable right to aspire for the highest post in the land.

However, only one person can be the president at a time. Those who don't win today can win tommorow if they persist in their pursuit of the goal.

All this your long grammar of historical rendition. We know you want to stay. Not arguing. But let the government grant biafra their request and leave them with their so called hypocrisy as you say. Let biafra go. Simple. No need for insults and name callings.

From your write up your intent of a Southern President is based on selfishness not National interest? No one is dashing any presidency to anyone, go & compete & may the best man win.

You are the most selfish by asking north to adhere to rotation, but do not want rotation in the southern regions; your demand for rotation at the National level only is to make a Yoruba succeed PMB; your simpleton mind tells you that because more Yorubas than Igbo voted for PMB, therefore, it’s an entitlement to the Yoruba to succeed PMB. Selfish.

In bold.
Right from 1999 started the current agitation for restoration of Biafra.
The agitation has nothing to do with Jonathan or Buhari presidency.

Some of you ShophistiWretched lie to yourselves in your bid to have Yoruba president of Nigeria many times before an Igbo person becomes president of Nigeria.

You are a horrible lot.

By the way, Oduduwa Nation agitators are about more determined than agitators for restoration of Biafra.

How much campaign to be president of Nigeria did Olusegun Obasanjo’s tribesmen do in 1998 before Obasanjo who was in prison got freed to become presidential candidate of the PDP formed by Alex Ekwueme in 1999?
Ekwueme made inroads to the north and SW and got political support from all over the country to make the military dictator, Abdusalam Abubakar, to relinquish power to civilians.

Obasanjo profited from Ekwueme’s drive and became president of Nigeria in 1999.
To make sure that a Yoruba became president, Olu Falae was made presidential candidate of the 2nd largest political party.

Rotation of the presidency was what played out.

Some of the few and conscienceless Yorubas today campaigning for a Yoruba, instead of an Igbo, to succeed PMB, are enemies of Nigeria.

AD was dominated by yoruba politicians so falae own isnt something to debate about we owned the party secondly ekwuemee or whatever contested the election against obj it was the northern cacus that chose obj because of his loyalty to them in 1976-79 and also MKO stolen mandate not even up to 10% igbos voted for him in the primaries so let me tell you something tinubu or osinbajo will contest and if any igbo man wins no wahala cool and am even happy about the newly invented direct primaries so no excuses

If it’s by open competition, no Yoruba, no Igbo or anyone from the south will win. A northern candidate gets the advantages.

For south to produce a successor to PMB, Yoruba must back Igbo to produce the successor to PMB.

Falae did not contest presidential election under AD, the Yoruba party then. Get informed before coming to comment.

Figments of your imagination - all.

Southeast, the poorest region of Nigeria - You must be living in Mars for writing that.

Southeast devastated by civi war. Yes.
Southeast has no intelligent person ? - you must be a daft driven by parasitic lifestyle in one Nigeria; your parasitic lifestyle sustained by cheap cash from crude oil and gas deposits in the east and rest of the Niger Delta region.

In your brutish calculus, Yoruba must preside over Nigeria many times before the Igbo. And you foolishly believe that a country anchored in such injustice remains.

Typical ! Just another childish emotional outbursts that's expected of a typical all -brawn - and - no - brain village dweller from across the Niger ! Ideally,a scum of the earth like you,who is even worse than a leper, ought to be ignored. But then, some of us have to step in when ignorant nincompoops like you start dishing out gibberish as facts in a forum like this one.

What is lacking in your pitiable life is education or lack of it but unfortunately for you,I'm not in the business of educating some emotional blockheads here on Nairaland. The bitter truth is that Igbo will continue to play second fiddle in the running of the affairs of Nigeria if you guys refuse to come down from your deluded high horse and do away with your unfriendly, toxic tendencies.

It will be easier for a camel to pass through the eye of needle than for an Igbo man or woman to become President of Nigeria anytime soon !

Kiss the bitter truth, there won't be any Igbo presidency in 2023 !

see Bleep that shit its based on popularity and acceptance even abiola was well known throughout the country this same northerners voted him so no room for any excuses everyone is free to contest and campaign especially this time around, test your popularity and acceptance lobby people accross the various regions and no insulting them same thing abiola did if not for the annulment, so no one is holding anyone down abeg infact you can even vote anyone you like so dont mention me again all i know is either osinbajo or tinubu will contest if they lose its not a do or die thing at all. Also who told you Buhari will ever hand over to an igbo man grin you must be a joker abeg lol after all the perceived hate and insults

Cheap cash from crude oil in the Niger Delta has decimated the grey matter in most of you who believe that rotation principles should be applied to make a southern Nigerian to succeed PMB, but rotation principle should not be applied among the southern regions to enable the Igbo whose turn it is to succeed PMB.

Shameless lot. Unjust lot. You want to exploit cheap cash from crude oil and gas deposits in the east and rest of the Niger Delta, but write all sorts of nonsense excuses to negate the Igbo the opportunity to succeed PMB.
And you have no sense to understand that if you refuse rotation in the south, the north shall reject rotation. A northerner then succeeds PMB.

Gibberish !

Village dweller? There are more underdeveloped villages in the SW region than in the SE region.

If Igbo man doesn’t become president in 2023, Yoruba man will not be either.
This is not 1990s.

Somewhere, you wrote: “Buhari is a curse.”

Yet your claim of Yoruba to succeed PMB is based on the fact that more Yoruba than Igbo voted for Buhari in elections.

If you voted for a presidential candidate who you now branded a cursed candidate, it means that you have no intelligence to chose for us who will preside over Nigeria.

Yoruba are not village dwellers like you faecal oha drinking OSUs from the erosion ravaged land of savages ! While your forebears were still hobnobbing with some primitive primates in your evil enclave,Yoruba were known to be setting the pace and recording successes in all areas of human endeavors; first of their kinds in Africa ! It's therefore not an accident that south west is not just the most developed region of Nigeria but also the most urbanised. It is a statistical fact ! The bolded is just another display of crass ignorance by a village boy ! The first time your forebears had an encounter with civilisation was when they stepped on Oodua land. It has not stopped since then; your people keep arriving in droves !

I understand your need to aggrandise and inflate your ego. It stems from the acute form of inferiority complex, often disguised by an appearance of superiority, which a typical igbo suffers from ! It was the same reason a certain Nnamdi Azikiwe preferred to be Premier of the defunct western region. It did not just start today; you've always been envious, jealous and wanted what belonged the Yoruba !

Who needs Igbo's supports to become anything in Nigeria ? You're nothing but inconsequential lots ! You can't stop Yoruba people from achieving whatever they set their minds to or emerging as a successor to Buhari in 2023. Thar's just the truth and a pointer to how worthless you guys are ! Ode,you've even resorted to telling lies in your desperate attempts to repackage an obvious gibberish or where did I tell you about any " more Yoruba than Igbo voted for Buhari in elections" in any of my responses ?

You're just a frustrated troll who can't make any reasonable point; a senseless blabber ! I'm done with you. Now, crawl back into whatever miserable hole you came out from and remain dumber than you're already there !

an ibo man's version of the promise land is a land where the ibos control and dominate everything and everybody......and thats why an ibo man will never be president because the whole country have wised up to them. They were in power for only 6 months in 1966, they thought they would rule forever, they turned the whole country upside down, we are all paying for it till today. Right to referendum na dem remove am, resource control, na them remove am, Unitary government, na dem start am. Everything they are fighting for today is what they put in place when they thought they would be in power forever. The Northerners came and said "thank-you very much for making the laws that now favour us but we would never have been able to do on our own" !! We have been paying the price for 6 months of Ibo rule for the last 54 years.

it is the ibo man that unwittingly gave the North political and legal power over every one else. They always had the population but they didnt have power until Ironsi seized power. Before ironsi, dont forget the Northern party came 3rd in the elections, only an ibo man who came 1st would hand the man who came third in an election, power over him...who does that? .... again because they underestimated the North thinking they were backward and they could be manipulated not knowing the Northern elite are the masters of politics.
Words on marble.

It’s no blackmail.
It’s for Nigeria’s integrity. You can’t continue to marginalize the largest single, or second largest single ethnic group in a country, yet expect the country to be.
It’s imperative that Igbo succeeds PMB in order for positive changes be in Nigeria.

Yoruba, Hausa/Fulani and Ijaw led Nigeria since 1960. Where is Nigeria in the committee of developing nations today?
So Aguiyi Ironsi was from one of Yoruba, Ijaw and Hausafulani?
