One thing that is very clear is that the Yoruba are the most accommodating tribe in Nigeria; no one can deny that. However, what have we got in return - hate and envy especially from the Igbos. The Hausa/Fulani are suspicious of the Youruba but they do not hate the Yoruba. The are also accommodating to the Yorubas.

The Edo/Isekiri/Urhoro are siblings to the Yorubas even though they have their own identity. The Efik/Ibibio are somewhat indifferent to the Yoruba but that is fine. The Igbos outright hate the Yoruba and it is time Yorubas become very conscious of this hatred.

Everyday they are castigating Tinubu, Fayemi and Osinbajo; and other potential Yoruba presidential candidates. The other day they were calling Yoruba women undesirable and dirty. All of them were hating on Peter Okoye for marrying a “dirty Yoruba woman” - a woman who is more educated and exposed than anyone in their generation. They insult the same Lagos where they live - why don't they just go back to Onitsha and Aba.

They insult anything Yoruba- from Anthony Joshua, Wizkid, Tiwa and everything Yoruba. These insults are not unnoticed. Yoruba will not forget and will surely retaliate!

Lagos is not an ordinary Yoruba state. Its a melting pot for all tribes since time memorial and b4 independence.

Are Yoruba’s Accomodating? I think every region is accommodating, even the North pre terror/extremist periods.

If u want to knowthis check how accommodating Yoruba’s are outside Lagos.

Ogun And ibadan are not as accommodating as Lagos. Others far father from Lagos accommodate like any other region in Nigeria besides abuja which is becoming distinct like Lagos,

Every tribe is accommodating.

This Yoruba people eh, hope you guys won’t die on top of Lagos one day o. The citizens from the other regions are suppose to hold lots more prominent position because Lagos is more of a cosmopolitan city, but tribalism has blinded your eyes.
I guess it won't be a bad idea if you too fit go die ontop Aba or onitsha one day... Clito

I will not generalised all the Igbos for hating because I have lived with some loving ones amongst them. However, don't mind the Igbos here on Nairaland they would soon have their imaginary potopoto Biafra republic where UGM and IPOB will be the Taliban over them.
Nonsense!!

Lagos is number1, it's openess and freedom, makes it a first choice for elites.

But Lagos state government should be careful and watch out for these secessionists and extremists terrorists regions. Lagos should continue raiding illegal street urchins, they are a threat to the peace of the state. Lagos is not for urchins, go to your villages.

Oga it seems you are learning politics. When did you start following politics

When Governor Chimaroke Nnamani of Enugu State appointed Mr. Festus Adedayo as his special assistant (Media), it did raise many eyebrows in this Nigerian society where it is virtually impossible to get jobs outside one's state of origin.

This happened in 2005
Don't mind them.

Many of them are so Ignorant and unexposed about Nigeria.

That's how it should be. Nigeria is for all. If Nigerians could be holding political positions outside the shores of Nigeria, any one who has distinguish himself or herself in the state of his or her residence should be so appointed even though it's more demonstrated in Lagos and sometimes ago in Kaduna state.

We once had an Igbo as Perm Sec in Ogun State.

Congratulations to them especially Igbokwe. Lagos and indeed South West is home to all.
