Igbo people live in every part of Nigeria than any other tribe.

So i am not suprised that air traffic is increasing in the southeast, also consider the security situation on ground in the south east, most travelers will prefer to use air for safety than land

All the airports in top six are actually international airports.

So I don't understand why some people are celebrating like they won a world cup.

There's only one international airport in Southwestern Nigeria and we are not complaining about marginalization.

Majority of the airports with large numbers are international airports and I think Owerri served as diversion when Enugu was being repaired.

Kano, Lagos, Abuja and Enugu are international airports.

Insecurity is making road transport unpopular so air traffic is increasing. This is especially true given there is no functional rail transport system or good Federal roads in the South East. Air travel is the safest.
hahaha see them and logics.I guess at this point you people have run out good logics if this is all you can bring out. From what you just said now you have admitted that Igbos are truly marginalised by your FG that is why no single Rail way in South East and tomorrow if they cried being marginalised you and your type will call them liars.God will keep on exposing you people for hating Igbos

Strong argument. Lol. Where's the strong argument?

What's the argument about? I'm curious.

Do you know who does this?

People with low self esteem.

Their sense of self worth is tied to perceived failures of others.

Have you been to Kano before?

How is this statistics a pointer that the east is doing well?
SIMPLE,.you cant fly when yous very poor.

In that case, northerners should be the most air traveling citizens. Your logic fails woefully

Northerners are poor. It’s only their middle class that travel by air. They hardly leave their territory, if not because of insurgency that made them run down south. They are contented with the little they have. They don’t really look for wealth the way we people do down here.
Apologies if you feel hit by my first statement. I don’t mudslide. There is no crime in saying the truth. Traveling majorly by air at this time in Owerri means Owerri people are rational. Don’t see my comment as if I am saying Owerri has never been safe. Let everything calm down in Owerri then go back and check NBS’s data for Q3 or Q4 in 2022. Then compare it with those of 2021.

is there another international airport in Southwest outside Lagos?

So if a Yoruba person was coming from outside Nigeria, he has no other choice than to land in Lagos before proceeding to his or her state.

Kano, Abuja and Enugu are international airports

And imo airport served as diversion while Enugu was being repaired..

Hence, the high numbers of those airports

One Igbo that do drugs might decide to leave the country today to supply his "goods" and "development" other countries and then come back immediately and he can go like twice in a week like that, now say average of 10,000 igbos do drug and go in and out of the country like that, so 63,258 is complete. it is a simple logic
Hahahhahahaha thanks for this developers advice

Stats can really be incredible at times.

As for Owerri, the Fear Of killer ESN makes air travel necessary in those parts. No body wants to move by road and there is no rail.

Covid restrictions to foreign countries I believe. For Kano, many Northerners are not keen on taking the shot, maybe thats why and again Saudi Arabia just approved full commencement of Hajj & Umrah activities. So expect an upside in Q3/Q4.

Oga I am a full blooded Igbo man and also a victim of Igbo marginalisation. Don't make your point and stop making enemies for Igbos. I stated the practical reason for the surge in air traffic in Imo which is a fact. The marginalisation of the Igbo nation is incontrovertible and did not start today. Neither will it end today.
