The Ooni has constituted a committee on Igboho's case. and several delegates have been sent to Benin Republic to make sure he gets fair treatment and trial. Even Obasanjo was in Benin Republic to make sure things were in order.

Most Yorubas opposed the Fulani herders killing, raping and kidnapping people across the country while the government of the day looked away till people started attacking Fulanis and burning down their serikis' palaces.
