Honestly, I see that jersey as the best. I still have fond memories of Senegal 92. That jersey looked good on all the supereagles players.
The jersey was good but allowing a sub-per Ghana to score 2 goals from corner kicks is not a fond memory for me. Yekini missing scores of chances. That match made me sad!

He is a good striker but I don't think he's better than Haaland. That's a stretch. What usually happens is that potential and possibilities for growth are taken as present realities and used to judge a player in comparison to others who are clearly their betters. I remember the debates that raged here on Kelechi and Mbappe. Then it was clear that Mbappe was the better of the two, yet for nationalistic reasons, KC was being compared to him. Well, time has sorted out that argument. Osimhen will not be like KC (cos ultimately the progress of our players is the progress of our team)

Osimhen has huge potentials and is showing that he can become great but he's not there yet, he's not in the bracket of Haaland regardless of who is the more complete striker or not.

Succinct.

Smh... these are their heatmaps for the 21/22 season focusing on just league games alone.
Haaland in the Bundesliga and Osimhen in the Serie A.

Do you see how much grounds Osimhen covers for his side compared to Haaland? This depicts not just his workrate but his presence in both parts of the pitch for their teams and how deep one falls to pick up the pieces for his team either via ball carrying from deep using power and pace or via using the channels.

If I have to break individual games down, you will get a mighty clearer picture of things regarding how much each player gives per game but I really don't have the time for that now. Like I said before... on a very good day, we go super analyse this matter and none of you will be able to hold a candle to my analyses. That day will come. For today, we leave it here. grin

So to those saying we are avoiding stats sites... you were saying? grin

I was waiting for such comments before I drop. You no dey release all your weapons at once for argument naa. Just like I told Comrade AndSunGorilla wey blood dey hot earlier grin

Now that this one has dropped, would that convince you of the point being made? Or you just wanted to blab for blabbing sake. Funny people. grin

1st frame: Osimhen's 21/22 Serie A heatamap after 7 games.

2nd frame: Haaland's 21/22 Bundesliga heatmap after 6 games.

Osimhen is a fine player and he is going to get to the top level as expected but for now he is still coming up and not yet Haaland’s level.

Let us leave it at that and watch on.

Very painful...I shifted my support to Ivory coast in the final and I was glad when Ivory coast won. Alain Gouamene, joel Tiehi, diaby sekana and yousuf fofana made me loved the Ivorians. Although, it didn't erase the pains of the semi-final defeat to the black stars.

Damn!!! This Palmer kid. See what I missed from earlier only because Andy dey make me repeat myself. angry

This is Beautiful.

I also noticed the position in which he received the ball for the last of his 3 goals. He exploited the space/gap between the Central Defensive and defensive Midfield lines towards to the right of the pitch to unleash that curler.
This is something Nacho can do and be more accustomed to even in the Super Eagles under a tactically sound manager.

It's a wickedly sound tactic. The striker keeps the central defence options occupied by drawing them to himself with his movements at the same time the AMF-like operator receives the ball between the gap of the CBs and DM and also in the gap angle between the CB, DM, and FB.

Then with the striker's movement, the CB options are drawn and the AMF/Creative attacking MFs take the hit from there to the target.

This is how an Osimhen-Iheanacho combo can also he utilised in the GWG but we badly need the midfield ballers who can find Nacho constantly between the lines of the opposition half in the final third from where he would either take a strike or pick out a quick pass into Osimhen's path or direct to his feet.

Mehn... thanks for sharing this, My good man. It's lovely.

And Cole Palmer scores for Manchester City in the Champions League with the same tactics. The kid is a weapon.

Why did Guardiola prefer Gabriel Jesus to Aguero. If you think it was about goals and headers and assists, do you think Aguero will get the nod.

I have asked, if it is headers, goals and assists, do you think Guardiola will prefer Gabriel Jesus over the greatest scorer in the history of Manchester City. Greatest foreign goalscorer in the history of the English Premier League.

That is why I find it baffling about people.

If I said Benzema is a better all round striker that Higuain, does that mean that Higuain is a one dimensional robot?

I repeat, the problem is comprehension.

Haaland (Blue) -- Osimhen (Green)
SofaScore says otherwise in defense. I once posted a SofaScore article on what the pentagon chart means.
In summary it represents the completeness of a player, not necessarily who is a better player. SofaScore also takes into consideration the strength of the league. And if I remember quite right it considers the last two seasons giving more weight to the current. So each of the 5 points are purely stats related.

Here is the link again:
https://www.sofascore.com/news/sofascore-attribute-overview/

I'm the kinda guy who teaches how to fish. Learn the ropes so you can test every spirit.
Anyways make we leave this comparison matter before we start to curse ourselves. And by the way, I hope I am not the guy that moniker is referring to as triangle bros. cheesy
