I bought the material before I found Nairaland but all the information I needed was on this thread so it was a waste of money for me

Hello Nairalanders, does anyone knows or have used Victor Ola's "NO IELTS TO CANADA GUIDE"
I really need reviews and clarity as 3 undergraduates in Nigeria(myself inclusive) are planning to switch to schools in Canada with this guide, I just want to be sure we're taking the right step before we buy the guide and to know others who have crossed to Canada with the same process.

I also like to meet anyone studying or aspiring to study in University of Saskatchewan

Hello Gurus ,

Please I have a question I need to ask, I'm planning to re-applying for my study permit soon ( I was refused 2019 ) and I used my mother as sponsor in my previous application but I'm the main sponsor this time.
My question is :

1.I paid half of the tuition fees requested by the school (7000CAD) and my closing balance is 8m. And also my co sponsor( mother ) is sending me 3m for living expense for first year. Is the POF in my account enough to reapply ? Whereas I'm going for 2 years PGD( 14k CAD PER YEAR ) .

2. When filling the application form ,do I have to subtract the 7000Cad. I paid already from the first year tuition or just write the full first year tuition and I should not subtract it ?

Please I hope my questions can be answered.

God bless

Thank you for your response.

My parents will be sponsoring my education there. Also, I thought I have shown that my parents have the finance to provide for me if I submit evidence of payment of first year tuition fees and a GIC certificate.

But my only concern is that they are civil servants and I have heard that VO don't honor salary earners. Do I have to refurbish their type of work?

Also, after paying tuition fees and buying GIC, do I need to explain the source where my parents got the money from? Do I need to submit their statement of account too afterwards?

Thank you for this selfless service of yours. I am indeed grateful

Please Bob, I am still waiting for your response here.

Please what are the documents to start arranging, how do I go about with accommodation, quarantine though I have been vaccinated, which airline is okay to use. I look forward to your response, thanks.

Hi, I gave a detailed and lengthy answer about preparation, airline search and airport processing on my previous posts. You can check my post on August 27th through my profile, it is on the first page of my posts (like 6 posts before this) and you will easily locate it.

For temporary accommodation, I will advise Airbnb for the first week or two. Then you can search and inspect permanent accommodation later. It might seem expensive but it is better to inspect in person before moving in.

For example there are 3 rooms in my apartment, I pay the least amount, got the biggest room and the one with the best view (I live downtown and can see the Toronto skyline through my window). The other tenants booked before landing and did zoom video to inspect. However, I inspected the place my self, selected the room I wanted and bargained directly with the person in charge to get 20 CAD discount if I am to sign 6 months agreement.

Also some of this online listing can be tricky, you may not know the real condition of the place until you inspect it physically, feel the vibe of the neighborhood and surroundings (Is it quiet or rowdy). One shocking thing is that Toronto is filled with squirrels and a lot of homeless/mentally unstable people. And some neighborhood are not advisable to stay in.

Also you have to consider bus stations. A place that is less than 5 minutes walk to a bus stations, street tram or subway station is advisable. Winter is coming...

please if you book an Airbnb for two weeks, how do you feed yourself because they said you can't go out during quarantine or do you cook?

Good evening house. Thank you for your endless opinions.

My 1st refusal reason was due to funds. And now I did submitted BMS of over 46m and assets of over to 30mil. All to be sponsored by my parents.

But I still got a second refusal on October 14. I got confused sef on the other grounds they pointed because I see it as irrelevant.

This makes it 2 refusals this year...we keep pushing expecting my gcms note....

Might try again....

But thank you

Was this reason (home ties)stated in your first refusal or simply based on finance? I used to think the vos can't come up with a refusal reason that was not previously stated before. Nawa for these peeps o. Order ur notes to understand the actual concerns
