CalcreteJB: Yes, it always advised that you get a temporary accommodation where you can stay and then move around to get your permanent or long term rental place. Becks what is seen on pictures might not be what is on ground. Plus it's always better to confirm for yourself. 1 Like |

Yes it's possible. It's just unfortunate you were not actively involved in the submission of your application. The best way to go is to converse with your agent and tell him to show you all the documents he submitted and give you the IMM forms as well so when you want to reply there won't be misinformation. As you do that order you GCMS Notes for more clarity on why you were refused. These agents are a menace. I just hope the damage can still be fixed. Xydami: |

Swtmato:OH... I never knew you don't have a degree. You can't go for PGD then, I guess advance diploma or a certificate program in your work experience is the best bet. For cheap colleges, many people here always recommend NBCC and NSCC, they are in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia respectively. |

Hello everyone, I got 4 admission offers for Master programs starting in January 2022. I am only interested in two of the offers; one from London met university in the UK and another from Ryerson university in Canada. I am more interested in the offer from the Canadian university because I prefer the curriculum there but I’m a bit reluctant because of the Canadian visa process. I am 99% sure I’ll get a student visa for the London school but I really prefer the Canadian due to its curriculum and opportunity of a PR. I can’t accept both offers because I’d have to pay a deposit to receive my acceptance letters which I need for my visa applications. So I am here to ask for you guys opinions. Should I take the risk and go for the Canadian visa or I should go for the London admission. Here is my details: Education: Bsc Architecture 4.04 cgpa Academic IELTS score: overall band score of 8, Listening - 9, reading - 8, writing - 7, speaking - 7.5 Finance: I have little to nothing personal savings compared to what needs to be in my account. I would be sponsored by my sister (blood sister) she resides in London and is a manager in one of the big 4 auditing companies. Her savings is way more than enough for my tuitions and living expenses. So my sponsor is more than capable. Employment: I have been employed since I graduated in 2016, but they’ve all been on contracts, no official employment letter, no contract documents, but from my bank statements you can see transfers of money over the years with remarks of professional building fees, payment of building materials etc (I design and build houses). I don’t know if this is enough as proof of employment. Ties to Nigeria: I am not married, but my two younger brothers (who are 21 and 19 years old) have been living with me for 2 years, I take care of them and I am their legal guardian on their school documents (because they live with me not my mum, the school consider them my wards and put my name as their parents/guardian) I have bank statements proofing I pay their school fees as well, is this enough to consider them as my dependents? Finally my master program is not in architecture but in digital media design management. It is related to my course because I would be specialising on human oriented design and visual and augmented reality production which most digital architects are opting to study. But I don’t know if the visa officials will understand the connection. Thank you in advance to all responses. |

nairagrounds: When you log on you see that instead of the usual submitted, you will see application updated. So far I have gotten 4 ghost updates. I applied July 18th, biometric passed on the 19th July, upfront medical passed 27th July. Got 1st GU on 5th Aug when eligibility started, then 7th Aug when background checks started. For the other 3rd and 4th ghost updates I didn't notice any change to my application. Still we wait 1 Like |

BoluwajiPieters:Yes... It's advisable to show POF even if you got a fully funded scholarship. You may ask, why? Because VO's believe that besides your tuition and living expenses which the scholarship would/should cover... There are some expenses that you'll need before starting your life in Canada, from traveling and settling in, pending the time the money for living expenses would be given to you by the school. Also there could be some emergencies that were not planned for. So, showing some POF for fully funded applicant is a way to tell the VO you're capable of taking care of these things. |
