Empty words from a useless and compromised nation's defense headquarters...

Words mean nothing... Soundly and decisively prove their assertions wrong by ending the decade long siege in the North, and security crisis all over the nation.

An army that can't bring peace and end Banditry in her home country, what value or worth are they globally??!...

An army that was once the heart and soul of ECOMOG, the very people that brought peace in several African nations has been brought this low by corruption, nepotism, greed and poor leadership... What a shame!!!

Put a final end to Boko Haram, Bandits, UGM, etc... Lemme see if the same Economist would not write glowing tributes about you.

You think everyone lies like Liar Mohammed and Femi Adesina!!!

Nigeria Air force are the real Boko Haram .

What's the total number of all those Miscreants compared to our security officers.

Instead of Army and Air force to work in collaboration together, while the Air force drop bomb on the miscreants in their hiding place, the ground troop would be patiently waiting to finish those trying to escape.

But what have we been reading, Air force mistook army for Boko Haram , almost 5 times this year alone

Zombie.

''The crime scene at the heart of Africa'' I love this title. The truth is the NA is trying, but there are certainly bad eggs among them rubbishing their name in the mud. God bless the Nigerian Army.

BREAKING: We are not Useless – Nigerian Army replies UK paper

The Nigerian Army has said that it is a globally respected agency. This is in response to an Editorial by The Economist of the United Kingdom (UK) on Saturday where the Muhammadu Buhari administration was described as incompetent, and criticised for being ‘unable to curb corruption’. The piece was titled ‘The Crime Scene at the Heart of Africa’.

The publication also accused the Nigerian Army of selling weapons to insurgents, just as it pointed out that ‘insurgency, secessionism and banditry threaten Nigeria’.

But Nigerian authorities are thoroughly displeased with the report, and have fired back.

In a statement on Saturday by Brigadier-General Onyema Nwachukwu, the Nigerian Army Spokesperson, the agency said it is “certainly not what the so-called report by the Economist tried to characterize it”.

Read the Nigerian Army’s statement in full below:

If someone accuse me of being impotent, the only reply i will give him is to make sure i impregnate his daughters and if possible extend my reply to his nieces and aunties with plenty goodies.
U r giving rebuttal but common kaduna-abuja, even ur personnel dey fear to use the road.
Just few months back, bandits invaded ur command centre, abducted some personnels, kill one and after negotiating and ransom paid, the one abducted was release.
Abeg stop all these rebuttals and go oil ur guns and enter bush.
The only rebuttal we want to see is dead bodies of those bandits

Apologies to the men and women who served diligently and paid the ultimate price.

But the Economist just insulted uselessness. Useless people must be feeling very bad being categorized as the NA. What a waste of uselessness

United Nations should come and help Nigerians to scrap Nigerian Army.

Nigerians can defend themselves without any Nigerian Army.

Communities will form more effective community vigilante groups to secure their communities.

Maybe Fulanis and their terrorists brothers can take over Nigerian Army and name it Fulani Militia to protect only Fulani terrorists as usual.

Nigerian Army have killed more Nigerian civilians than criminals and terrorists.

They are only good in killing unarmed youths but let the same youths pick up arms and they become powerless cowards.

Buhari has destroyed everything in Nigeria, useless Fulani terrorist

Nigeria army is very useful indeed.... to murder innocent end SARS protesters at Lekki toll gate for Buhari. Also very useful to defend/protect Fulani herdsmen kidnapping, killing and murdering people in their own communities and homes.

The Nigerian Army is irritatingly useless; and their response is monumentally useless!

Their response is mainly claiming accolades and achievements of the Nigerian Army during the past governments!

They are supposed to reply on what they have achieved under this present govt of Buhari! The relevant question is: What has Nigerian Army achieved during this Buhari regime? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! Instead the institution has been BASTARDIZED, POLITICIZED and ETHNICIZED!!

They are being used to terrorise southerners and aid Boko Haram and fulani herdsmen!!

Calling them useless is misplacement of the right word, they're far more than uselessness.

The NA is now a regional body that works for the interest of a particular tribe and religion.

NA is nepotistic and tribalistic and lawless, they irritates to set eyes on.

Psychology of Nigerian army being globally respected is a mere morale booster just because of the largest black race concentration in the world NOT because of their skills, competency or any creativity, same reason is always extended to any Nigerian leader and even citizens in african countries.
In reality other smaller african countries are better skilled and better informed than Nigerian military.

Those IPOB terrorist will grab this news from these hungry journalists like a monkey that they are will grab banana. The other day it was one useless WJ . No amount of intimidation will allow us to surrender the country to some rebellious children of hate. Their fathers hated and the seed of hatred planted in them is manifesting in ESN who is destroying and killing their own.
Globally the Nigerian military has performed creditably in many missions like in Sudan,Liberia,Bosnia & Herzegovina, Lebanon.... If you like go to the toothless UN ,Nigeria's sovereignty can and will not be compromised.
