She got calls 4rm home that there is a heavy presence of Army men harrassing and flogging people. For safety purpose, I decided that we lodge in nearby guest house to spend the nite and this is our first time spending the nite 2geda.

While sleeping, (me I wasn't that deep at sleep cos of the alcoholic drink) with her left leg wrappd around me, I startd feeling some wet sensation. Immediately, I turnd on my phone's torch, lol and behold my babe was zapping. I got shocked. I woke her up with anger, she feeling very sorry, hugged me and was pleading with me seriously with tears dripping down her eyes. I couldn't help but to feel sorry for her too.

She said she's been battling with that issue since childhood.

Please, how can I help her?

Let her Schedule bathroom breaks. In every 3-4 hours she should pee. In the morning she should talk lots of water. From 4pm she should take less water.

Preferably, she should set alarm to achieve this mostly at night. If she can maintain this, in a month time, she will observe positive changes

She needs to set an alarm that should be waking her up at least every 2hours

That thing is very mentally unnerving for her. It's so so so embarrassing, especially as one gets older. Very unfortunate that it hasn't stopped for her at this age. But you have to know that this is a situation totally beyond her control. She doesn't know when it happens and I can bet she hates herself whenever she wakes up to notice that..

I went through that up till high school! In boarding school! The taunts ftommmy corner mates? Oh God! It was enermous! They still taunt me, although jokingly, whenever we see these days..It actually continued till towards the tail end of secondary school, . So I can relate. I guess hers will stop any moment but if it persists, then visit a good doctor.

In the meantime, arrange for other sleeping arrangements so she can arrange her things when she wakes up in the morning. This normally stops as the child gets older...

Monitor the time it's bound to occur, make it as point of duty to wake her before then.


Let her reduce her water intake especially in the night...


If it's pathological she seek medical care....

It’s most probably psychological. She is suppressing the urge to wake up and go to the toilet. Instead, her mind deceives her into thinking she’s actually at the toilet and it’s okay to pee.

Tell her to reduce water intake at night and you help her to wake in the middle of the night to take a peek.
