You don't need to discuss certain things with certain people. You allow them to catch up with reality when its time.

I once did with certain friends and I almost got roasted. I thought I was helping. I have to buy up all their crypto even above market price just to let peace reign but today, they wish I could return the crypto and collect the amount I paid them for it.
No be only buy up all the crypto. Na buy up the whole world. Audio dreamer. I can bet that you are a failed depressed man typing from one shit hole slum and contemplating suicide undecided

If you are doing a legit business that can be bringing you 60k dollars monthly, I find it bizarre that it is on Nairaland you are coming to ask strangers this question undecided
Lol, your response dey crack my medulla oblangata, maybe she has no other places to collate information than Nairaland.com otherwise, she should sieve from all the responses she has been offered here and also liase with her bank, but l know that once that money enters her account in Nigeria, dem go flag that account down, which reminds me of what happened to a guy who was volunteering in my office years ago in North America, he wanted to buy a house and the mother transferred 10,000 dollars to his account as first installment,

The bank that received the cash, flagged the account and called the guy to come and explain, the guy is from Colombia and that alone rings a redflag on the account.

The guy went and explained to the bank that the mum sold a house in Colombia and it was from that proceeds that the money came, to cut the story short, they allowed him have access to the money and eventually he bought a house via mortgage after few months and after securing a good job.

The source of a huge deposit is often questioned by banks but if you you no get skeleton inside your cupboard, you have nothing to worry about

Good day everyone, please I have a question for those who know about efcc operations.

A company I work with is going to transfer about 60000 dollars to nigeria to an account in my name next month for payment for me and some people. Is there any thing I should be worried about regarding efcc? I hope they will not freeze the account and money inside because of how large it is?

Is there anything I can do to ensure everything goes smoothly without any problem from efcc? Thank you.
They will file a CTR. Currency Transaction Report. This is compulsory as the transfer is above 10,000 USD.

To stop them from filing an STR (Suspicious Transaction Report) which could see the funds witheld for as short as 24 hours to as much as 3 months (in cases I have seen), it is important to get in touch with your bank BEFORE the transaction arrives and provide supporting information and documentation to let them know you will be getting such a transfer. If you do this and the funds are truly genuine (or have been made to appear genuine), the funds will be available immediately after receipt without the filing of an STR.

Most times people will only do what they are comfortable with. Though rates are very very poor now.. Some conservative investors will rather go with TB not minding the inflation than to put their money in other investment with more attractive rates they do not understand..

At this point, that's just laziness.

True, but people still have money saved in their bank accounts untouched.

Money Market Fund is better, if the sum is substantial you can do fixed deposit and negotiate a rate that is higher than Treasury Bills

False dichotomy.

The options are not between either doing treasury bills and being scammed. There are several legitimate low risk alternatives to treasury bills. Laziness and a lack of knowledge are the only two reasons to still be doing treasury bills right now.
you should have suggested them instead of tagging somebody lazy. If you cant help somebody then don't call him Lazy.

Rephrase it this way.
What is my business with this public forum? I should have googled the last result and make my investment decision without fanfare.

Why has this thread gone largely quiet over time?

Is it because of the numerous attacks on folks or people just being largely intolerant of alternative options

On this thread, like someone said once, there are those who consider themselves as 'original members of the thread' who believe they should decide what should be discussed and not... Add that to the fact that conversations here easily turn to personal confrontations and you have a dying star
