Lazyyouth4u: @Lazyyouth4u thanks for your observations. That you could observe I market is actually a plus base on my role at investment one. The truth is that every profit making organizations do what is within the law to get customers and that can be at any forum that is allowed and they feel could help them meet their target. There are other asset managers here perhaps they are not as aggressive in marketing as myself hence you think I'm the only one doing this here, it's most likely in other forums or media they are more prominent. If you are in Nigeria particularly in Lagos you would have noticed large and expensive electronic billboards of very large organizations like MTN and the likes. That is marketing. Sometimes you get unsolicited sms from various telecom operators and banks introducing their products that is marketing. So I have nothing to be ashamed of to market a product I know will help the finances of others. More so there are new entries into the forum who will need to learn from the different posts and make informed financial decisions. You may be very much financially literate as not to need the posts but I can assure you many need it out there. It will amaze you the responses I get and how some folks here have benefited. Please understand, my marketing investment one is not a sign of anything to be weary about. Investment one is a duely registered and sec regulated market operator in Nigeria with clients within and in diaspora. There are verifiable data you can check up and many folks here who are already on board can testify. By the way I don't mind if you can check us out. I will personally be there for you to give you a VIP treatment. You must help my ministry o. Waiting for your click on my signature. God bless you. 41 Likes |

jedisco:dangote no need subsides .he will.sell to depots owners (52 of them )or NNPC at market determine price and they inreturn supply Nigerians as a loss .right now no physical cash subsidies is been paid but a crude oil swap deal of crude to white products of same value .vitol is biggest oil.supplier in the world is already having a supply contractor 20 m litres daily from dangote refinery. Dangote refinery projects have already earn 150m usd this year from export of 12 ships of fertilzer to Brazil and usa via dangote jetty in the refinery . 2 Likes |

jedisco: True. Just buy $VOO if you're a newbie in U.S stocks. You would be better of in 10 years. Guess what? $VOO also pays dividends. If you also think about companies like Tesla, Microsoft, Amazon, Coinbase, Netflix, Shopify. They are individual stocks with strong growth potential. But I don't understand how someone who has no knowledge of the market is buying individual stocks to begin with. Even Warren Buffett has 80% of his allocation in $VOO. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Hamachi: That's not how to grow your brand.. That's where lots of Nigeria online creators struggle- they're always looking to clickbait. The crypt0 space is a rapidly expanding one with lots of new entrants. There are lots of crypt0 YouTube channel who've grown to hundreds of thousands of subscribers by simply delivering the right content. Some charge in thousands of dollars for tutorials that can be found online.... If you know what you're doing in crypt0, chances are that folks would seek you out My point is this, if you really believe in the content you are delivering, either do some of that openly so people can see or pay for an add on nairaland.. Joining a telegram group is free. A weeks worth of NL ad should do more to your platform by way of getting the right folks in than spamming multiple threads. 3 Likes |

Munamoqel: Dangote himself would prefer subsidy is removed but are Nigerians ready. If subsidy is still in place, irrespective of if Dangote sells to depots or NNPC, the average Nigerian would see the government allocating a sum for petrol subsidy as paying money to Dangote... Personally, I believe that's why the refinery has stalled. Dangote is known to finish his projects in good time just like the fertiliser plant. It's interesting why the fertiliser plant kicked up first and has been running for months yet the refinery section keeps being pushed back. Chances are he's told the government he cannot operate without the outright removal of subsidy... Another evidence is the fact that allocation for subsidy in next years budget runs till middle of the year when his refinery should begin.... I've heard alot about the swap stuff... But if it's only crude swaps, how come trillions are being budgeted for subsidy? Where does the money go 1 Like |

Tobex4realTobex234: The issue with the US stock market (and others alike) is that the current big hitters e.g tsla would continue to thrive but returns might not be as great. The real alpha came with finding those stocks early... E.g tesla in 2010... Or aapl in the early days of the iPhone.. In retrospect, the signs are usually clear but at the time, the fear is not to buy the losers e.g Myspace instead of Facebook or an experimental gimmick. Coinbaz is interesting but it's growth is largely correlated with the crypt0 space. While I expect it to trend up with time, I wouldn't consider it a hedge on where to cycle crypt0 profits as it'd likely struggle in a bear market except they expand their offerings into other things like remittance which they seem to be doing. I'd look into $VOO and see what it's about. At the moment, I'm well tilted towards Crypt0 as I expect stuff to start moving soon... When time to take profits come, options will include locking profits into stable coyns and staking these... Another to me would be metals as xag and xau do look primed... Another would be stocks and the NSE does looks to be on the cusp... Also, it might be a hedge interns of a US market correction.... Ultimately, I'd return home when the time comes. 1 Like |

Got this book 4 months ago, but did not have the time to read it. The Psychology of Money by Morgan Housel. Currently on page 2, and was tough by this message on that page Doing well with money has a little to do with how smart you are and a lot to do with how you behave. And behaviour is hard to teach, even to really smart people. A genius who loses control of their emotions can be a financial disaster. The opposite is also true. Ordinary folks with no financial education can be wealthy if they have a handful of behavioural skills that has nothing to do with formal measures of intelligence. 12 Likes 5 Shares |

emmanuelewumi: Donald Trump, Steve Jobs, Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, Kanye West are/were not the most emotional intelligent people you will ever meet and are/were known to always lose control of their emotions but were/are not financial disasters. Ordinary folks with all the financial education and the so called behavioral skills in the world will never be wealthy if they do not have opportunities. The world is a capitalistic jungle with limited opportunities. And most people will unfortunately not be wealthy. Just learn to live within your means and hope for the best. It seems you think about wealth and money a little too much. You are a young man. Please learn to relax and enjoy life while you can. Life is too short to spend our short existence here thinking about being wealthy all the time. If you can feed and care for your family, you are already a winner. There are people that cannot even afford to put food on their families’ tables. 8 Likes |

emmanuelewumi: See below review of the book I found on Barnes and Noble. Nuff said…. This should be a 20 page pamphlet, if you boil down the info. Most of the book is filler, mainly interviews with people saying the same things. Some of his info is good, some of it I felt was common sense, and some of it is dangerous if applied incorrectly. It is not worth buying. Flip through it at a used bookstore, or get it from the library. There just isnt a lot of substance here. |

Lazyyouth4u: What type of review do you expect from a PhD holder, Finance professional who does not believe in simplicity, they believe the more complex the better. How can a school bus driver, janitor, soldier, teacher, policeman, fire fighter, small business owners and other ordinary people in the book retire with a Networth of between $2 million to $10 million and debt free as at the time the book was written 15 years ago, whereas well paid corporate executives, Investment bankers, finance professionals and other middle class retiring into poverty and debts. The critic said no big deal in what those ordinary people did, but just common sense. But is common sense, really common. I read some where that more than 40% of Americans don't have $400 in their accounts or emergency reserves 11 Likes |

emmanuelewumi: But it is common sense. Live frugally and within your means. Save and invest the rest. This is not rocket science and you don’t need to spend 30 dollars to buy a book to learn these. That man makes most of his money from selling books and ‘financial advice’ to idiots. 4 Likes |

Lazyyouth4u: Most people don't have that common sense even the well educated and informed. Eric Delma is a fund manager, he manages the funds and Investments of about 5000 clients. All the people interviewed in his book were his clients, who were ordinary people but are now in the top 5% of the population due to their habits, philosophy and attitude about opportunities ,life and money 1 Like |

Explain in concrete terms here on this forum how a civil servant earning 40,000 naira monthly and only has a discretionary income of max 10,000 naira can retire in 15 years.
