Good day Nairalanders, I really need some help.

So i Moved into a new flat and everything has been going well except for one thing...... Cockroaches.... Tiny ones.
These evil creatures are everywhere.
Every night they appear from nowhere in their millions and no matter what I spray, the next night they are out again.
The scary thing now is that they come out in broad daylight these days.
The house is kept very clean, I've net all over the house and on the balconies.... No single mosquito can get in but I don't know how these Cockroaches enter.
Funny thing is I've never seen the big ones.

Please is there any remedy asides sniper and other aerosolised insecticides?

German cockroaches can be a hell for anyone who has them in his or her own house... They can frustrate the hell out of your life...

I use and still have them as family members in my house, but recently I tried using sniper to see if they would leave my house and to a large extent it worked, maybe u should try that method...

Its so frustrating that they even found shelter in my laptops and some other gadget's... They like anywhere dark

No just declare war on dem back because you can't defeat dem . Instead,just wait till your house rent go expire...And when your landlord go come meet you to renew your rent,na then you go cor tell am to go collect a part of the rent from those cockroach..Say no be only you dey stay for the house

You need to find the spaces where they come in from and seal them off with whatever is applicable. If it it spaces between installed cabinets and the wall, find the right sealant and they will no longer have a way in.

Check your tiles.. maybe it wasn't filled properly or the cement has worn out..
That's the only place they can come out from..

You stop when all of the spaces have been sealed off and they stop coming in. Look on YouTube or online for ideas of how to seal off the spaces.

Or you tell your landlord to bring in a fumigation company to do the whole entire yard.

Yeah they are know as German cockroaches and reproduce in large quantities... Just get the original sniper, remove all valuables from ur house and spray around when u won't be in, u will come back and see them lying on the floor dead, at first u would think u have won the war, but hell no, the smallest of them all would survive as they would sneak in to places like inside walls where the sniper won't get to them... U will have to do these for 3 straight days to get at least 90% result... All the best

I bought this product on AliExpress for less than 700 for 10 sachet and just like magic they all disappeared.

You can give it a try.

This menance came into Nigeria through imported electronics from Belgium in the 90s. It is difficult to eradicate because their gestation period is very short. You can minimize their nuisance by using a Chinese insect killer called Green Leaf, works like wonder. Sprinkle it around the house at night and you will be amazed at the result you get the next morning.

First, empty the entire house, look for holes (kitchen, bedroom, living room, and especially the bathroom), and block them.

Afterwards, spray or sprinkle sniper depending on the kind you get. My mum, however, believes the liquid sniper works better than the spray.

Going forward, make it a weekly routine to spray insecticide and sweep clean those hidden places you don't get to sweep during the week (you may be able to remove their eggs this way). In addition, regularly mop areas that are prone to water spills, empty your bin as often as you can, and avoid clutters.

Lastly, check outside your home for anything that could be breeding the roaches. Even with the net, some spaces you don't see can accommodate them into your home. Insects are the most successful animals for a reason.

Buy green leaf... It's sold in sachets and very cheap. I guarantee those roaches will become extinct in your house

is this not dangerous? Those tiny roaches multiply fast!

Op those are German roaches. They are very fertile and tend to multiply in millions in a short time. Lays plenty eggs and have Shorter incubation time. The females love to carry their already fertilised eggs in their butt. And they move freely with it even in ur face. The males are always hornyy and so have high virility reason why females multiply so fast.
The roaches tend to hide in woods mostly...so u need to change your wooden chairs,kitchen cabinets etc

Also u need change those furniture in your house and properly repaint your house. because no amount of chemicals u spray on them will stop them from multiplying.

They love to eat crayfish,stock fish and onions.

Though they are still better than those flying roaches. They fly and slap u on ur face with their claws and smelly body.

I heard roaches cause leprosy. Don't know how true though.

I wonder why people still struggle with roaches in this age and time where there are many things to get rid of them.
