The airport is ok but like many of Obianos projects compromised by mediocre planning and design. The airport has a limited departure hall for 2 flights at a time and thats why you have 2 check in counters, 2 avio bridges and 2 baggage carousels. So unless the 6 airlines Obiano announced arrive and depart at different times it will replicate the chaos at Enugu domestic airport where 4 airline counters cram into a space meant for 2.

Whoever designed the Umueri airport designed it for roughly 4-8 flights per day. Which is OK for visitors to the state because it means 1,600 passengers per day or around 500,000 a year.

It's a good development but the location is a No No for me. I rather maintain Asaba airport and journey less 1:30hr to my destination than Land in Anambra Airport and journey more than 3hrs to my destination... Airport not advisable to people going to Nnew, Oba, Ichi and the rest of them...

Only the presence of Onitsha main market at Anambra State should have made you understand how important that airport is and the economic benefit to be derived there coupled with other numerous economic attractions and activities to be derived from that airport via cargo etc. Think objectively to avoid been ridiculed by hate. Furthermore, if you want me to educate you more on the economic benefits to be derived from that airport, it means your education is waste and you need to go get your fees back from all the institutions you attended.
