Thank you for this, Osemigho.

I am not sure of what he filled as source of funding on his form

I have few questions please...

In his previous application, he didn't mention that he has started a phd in China as we felt the VO might have reservations. Are you suggesting that he mentions that in his reapplication?

If he is able to get a support letter from his current supervisor in China on why the PhD in Canada is a better fit for his career goals, will that also help?

Thanks once again.
Osemigho:
Hi, what did write as his source of funding in the IRCC form? As a single applicant with full scholarship from Canada, your best choice is "University of .... scholarship".

About the PhD in China, it is no problem if you explain why you need to abandon it. A good reason might be that Nigeria education is westernized and English focused rather than Chinese. If you want to practice in Nigeria, a PhD in Canada, US, and UK will be more recognized than Chinese PhD. Then explain why Canada from other options. You got a full scholarship, a professor interested and with experience in your research, and other reasons are good. You will definitely need to build on/explain these points if you want to use it.

All the best.

You can say that again, the long wait is the killing part. The dead silence and it would feel as if one is lost or nothing is even going on.

Wish all waiting for PPR all the best, it shall come out positive.

If you are going to Abuja, you should have booked for Biometric first before going for Medicals. Biometric will not take u up to 30 minutes but you may end up spending the whole day at IOM because of different stages of medical examination you have to undergo. Well, you can still do both though am weighing your possibility of finishing medicals b4 11:40am. Best of luck.
Bunmijab:
Hello guys

Also please can anyone describe a fast route from IOM to vfs office with

Hello Wasky

To enter Canada is difficult quiet alright, but once you enter Canada, then the rest is history..

In fact within your few months in Canada, you won't remember you waited so long to actually get the Visa.

Peace

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 20 by PapaObi: 10:52am On Nov 01, 2021
If you have all the listed below and decide to add your sister as co sponsor that would be fine as long as she doesn't have dependants I.e. children. They would calculate that the money she makes would be put towards her own family, hence if and when you need money from her it may not be available.
Perfectyyyyyy:
Hello Great people,

Please would it be necessary to seek for a sponsor if I have made my 1 year full tuition fees payment, have 10k in my CIG account for living expenses and also having a balance of 10k CAD in my SOA especially as the possible sponsor is my younger sister but does not about 10k CAD in her account?

If it is idea to use her, I will appreciate if you help me with the documents that would be required of her
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 20 by PapaObi: 10:55am On Nov 01, 2021
The chances of getting both done tomorrow is slim. See which one is easier to reschedule and proceed accordingly.

tracking with VFS or DHL??

If its VFS, they should send you a tracking #, then you can enter it in

https://www.vfsglobal.ca/IRCC-GPTWave1/Track/Index?q=shSA0YnE4pLF9Xzwon/x/CQ1P0LBKn66dLdNUfueK+yzShCR5+RPxbigEFl/W14/B2caAAJ+pjEGG2r7ohd6rA==

If its DHL, just visit dhl site and go under tracking, then enter the code issued to you at DHLs office
Na VFS, At first it was saying processed passport has been dispatched to Canada Visa Office...now, it's NO RECORD FOUND.

Who has their functional number

Hello everyone, my sponsors paid my first semester fees, and sent me some money for my remaining tuition fees and living expenses into my account. Apart from statements of account, affidavit … is there any other document I need to back it up with?
